We could play 4-3-1-2. With the two young lads up front and Dack in behind. As in.

New Goalkeeper.

Nyambe, Lenihan, New Centre Half, New Left Back ( or Bell )

Travis, Johnson, Downing ( or Rothwell )

Dack

Brererton, Gallagher.

Could do that, would probably end up as more of a diamond with Johnson at the base. But would you really want to drop Dack deeper into the midfield, lose all our width and drop Graham entirely? To me it would seem mega weird.

For what it's worth I would say we are likely to line up :

-------------------------New GK

Nyambe----Lenihan (c)----new CB----Bell

------------------Travis----------Johnson

---------Downing-------Dack-------Rothwell

-----------------------------Graham

Subs : Leut, Williams, Mulgrew, Bennett, Armstrong, Gallagher, Chapman/Brereton

If I was Brereton I would be thinking getting on the pitch is going to be very tricky.

Totally agree, hopefully a new left back though

Do you need both William's and Mulgrew? William's can cover both centre and left back respectively and Bennett can cover across midfield and right back so we dont REALLY need another defender on there...IMHO of course!

Don’t see downing as a starter but more of an impact sub or a coach for the wingers

What kinda plonker doesn’t put Rothwell in their starting 11. Guy was unreal for us the last 10/11 games of last season.

I think he is our best player.

I'd go:

                    New GK

Nyambe  Lenihan  New CB  Bell

    Rothwell  Travis  Johnson

                      Dack

        Gallagher   Armstrong

              New GK

Nyambe Lenihan Williams

       Travis     Johnson

Downing   Dack  Rothwell

    Gallagher    Graham

could easily switch to a four back in game, with Travis moving to RB, Nyambe to CB and Williams to LB if the match demands so.

Gallagher and Graham would be great as a partnership, and for me our LB options just aren’t good enough to be playing 4 back. Either 3 or 5 has to be the way.

Ah the ol AC Milan formation. Thanks Slight change

Travis and Rothwell box to box, both natural there. Dack in favorite position.

12m young strike force, Graham and Arma great alternatives.

If I was BB I would be thinking how many goals I am going to score with this supply line the same with Gally. Rovers now have some serious pace up front and when was the last time we had speed merchants on the park down the flanks and centre? With The Dack we have some serious creative options as well as a goal machine midfielder. Looks all good for me and even more so with an old head defender alongside lenihan

Precisely

I mean, surely the point of buying young lads is to give time?

The point of buying young lads for potential is that they are cheaper than the real thing------usually!

If its Evans or Smallwood, don't let them feature in the friendly or they might change their mind. Same goes for Gladwin.

We need some of these CMs of the books now.

As for Dack - hilarious.

Don't think Rodwell would count and nobody is paying anything for Gladwin.

Hope it's Evans.
