Mattyblue Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Big club in a small town as John Williams used to put it. We should always be proud of the heritage and prestige of this football club. Something the club itself needs to take more pride in, I believe. 5 Quote

Mattyblue Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 He might start to get a few grumbles, but I don’t think he’s anywhere near losing the home support. Lets hope we don’t need to test that theory today! Quote
JWUpper Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Having to go over to Wakefield for an annual work meeting and miss the game...got on the train from Blackburn about half an hour ago and 2 nearly full carriages of drunk Preston fans stumbled out. Good to see them enjoying their big day out ? Quote

toogs Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Let’s hope Tony starts with a striker on the pitch for the first half this time, unlike his lamentable tactics at Deepdale. 1 Quote

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 What kind of gate are we expecting for this? Probably mentioned but haven't got the energy to plough threw 17 pages? Quote
Mattyblue Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) 12,500 home fans would be my guess, plus 7,500. So 20,000. Edited March 9, 2019 by Mattyblue Quote
LDRover Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 About 100 Preston 'lads' just been picked up by the police escort on the main road in Darwen. Quote

CD_93 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) What an uninspiring team selection. Not a chance. Rothwell should be out the door ASAP. What a waste. Running scared at Ewood before the whistle has even blown. Edited March 9, 2019 by CD_93 1 Quote

Oldgregg86 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Bennett rb , nyambe cb, Evans Smallwood combo back together, 8 defenders. Same old same old Quote
Backroom Tom Posted March 9, 2019 Backroom Posted March 9, 2019 So after all the bluster Rodwell drops out through injury and he drops Travis and Bell That'll show em! Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 9, 2019 Moderation Lead Posted March 9, 2019 Evans and Smallwood ?. Quote

I agree and it should be made compulsory reading for the players before each and every game so they know who and what they represent Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) It's simple. 8 defenders at home to Preston. The minimum I expect is a clean sheet . Edited March 9, 2019 by Oldgregg86 Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I had a a feeling he would revert to Smallwood and Evans. I was actually thinking he would go with Smallwood and Bennett(a few smart Alecs laughed at that suggestion) Is Rodwell definitely injured? If not, he is surely off It's a weak looking defence, that's for sure. Could finish 3-3 this, or worse for us Quote
Backroom Tom Posted March 9, 2019 Backroom Posted March 9, 2019 Need to win today, Mowbray will deservedly come under fire if we lose after that selection. Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I'd say he can't afford to lose with that line up Quote
