Good goal by Dack? A good move , got into right position, a calm and collective finish after first attempt Quote

LDRover Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Superb performance. Completely outplayed Derby. 2 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 9, 2019 Moderation Lead Posted April 9, 2019 Well happy with this result. Credit where it's due Mowbray and team, superb. That's two mid week games I've missed, we've won 3-0 and 2-0. Strictly Saturdays for me from now on..... 2 Quote
SBlue Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Never in doubt. Fantastic performance. One of the best of the season straight after one of the worst. Football, eh? 4 Quote
jim mk2 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Mowbray in, er out, in, out, in, out, in..... That's a mighty 7 points out of 36, and a rare clean sheet. Contract extension tomorrow ? Derby must be sick at that result. Puts a severe dent in their promotion ambitions As for Rovers, and forgetting Mowbray, are the players cheating fans for not playing like that all the time? Quote
davulsukur Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 A stunning victory and a great performance from the team. No idea why Mowbray has ever started Smallwood or Evan's over Travis/Reed. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Mowbray has learn from this! Surley this is the midfield we've been missing all season!? My opinion of Mowbray will change if he keeps this up! However not getting too ahead of myself... Quote
joey_big_nose Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Great result. I absolutely didn't expect it. Derby were surprisingly poor, but we played very well second half. There is definitely a correlation between when Mulgrew doesn't play and an improvement in our results. Let's stick with the same XI next game. Quote
CD_93 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) Great performance. Amazing midfield. We need consistency now. Something we have lacked for a long time. If it flips back the other way on Saturday I'll be disappointed. Edited April 9, 2019 by CD_93 Quote
neophox Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Best performerance this season along with WBA win! This team is the one to start with rest of games. Maybe try Brereton and give Graham a rest and give Conway and Armstrong a half each rest of season. 2 Quote
MarkBRFC Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Don't get me wrong ive enjoyed tonight, but i'll bet anyone here anything that Smallwood & Evans will be back in the side on Saturday and we'll be 2-0 down after 30 mins. Everything is so predictable relating to Rovers at the minute. Quote
Popular Post Mercer Posted April 9, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) Much, much better. It's simple Mowbray: You play your best players (Reed, Travis, Rothwell etc) and not your 'favourites' (Evans, Smallwood) You put your players in their best position - Reed is a central midfielder and not a feckin wide man Delighted for Rothwell. When I first saw him, it was obvious he had something, there was a spark, an energy, a creativeness. Conversely, I see nothing in Brereton. The contrast is so stark. Posted about Rothwell's potential and my opinion of Brereton (think he's a very expensive dud) so many times. Edited April 9, 2019 by Mercer 12 Quote
matt83 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 I kind of feel like for months all we’ve wanted to do is win the lottery and it finally occurred to the management to buy ticket. 2 Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Superb tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. If mowbray reverts to type Saturday I think my head will explode. Hopefully with everything crossed he has learned alot from tonight and it helps us move forward as a team for the remainder of this and next season Well played blues Quote
LDRover Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 The thing is, the manager should get plaudits for team selection and tactics but in reality this is the team he should have been picking for weeks 5 Quote

What did we sign Rothwell for, like 250k? BB on the other hand... 1 Quote
pick32 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 He picked the midfield pairing the fans wanted and what a difference. personally I would of had nyambe and Armstrong for Bennet and Conway before the match, but his selection was bang on and what a performance Quote
