Hardly a surprise.

I loved Brad but I think we shipped him out at the right time – no matter how hard it was to stomach at the time.

Clearly, he's not playing in the best Villa team but I think it's clear that age is finally catching up with him.

He'd make an excellent goalkeeping coach!

""Villa scouts have looked at Rangers keeper Allan McGregor,28, as a possible replacement for Friedel.""

Good luck with that one Gerald.

I believe brads academy went tits up before he left rovers I always thought that's why he went to villa with that learner chap.

Yes i thought that also, I'm sure he was quoted as saying Learner would be helping with his academy.

Quite a few of our ex players doing ok in the bankruptcy league: Friedel, Matteo, Hendry, Gillespie to name but 4

Gambling, womanising and wasting the rest 😜

Brad Friedel was named USA U19 Manager. That's not actually a competitive age group in our confederation, so presumably he will be helping players get ready to play for the U-20 team. Interesting that he's moving into management and not just goalkeeper coaching.

You can vote for the best title winning Keeper in the premier league era on the BBC website.

Brad Friedel isn’t on it.

Joe Hart is.

Friedel didn’t win the title, that’s probably why.

Not having that Lehmann should be an option instead of Brad either.

Again, I think Lehmann is far better qualified to be on such a list.

In a better team, certainly. Time plays tricks on you, but I genuinely remember thinking towards the end of his time at Rovers that you could make a case that Brad was the best in the prem era after Schmeichel.

I don't remember Lehmann having a too much of a stellar time at Arsenal, even though he was in a great team.

Yes but he won the league, that’s what the list is for.

Quite right. Just realised that after viewing the page for the fourth time!

But it's a disgrace that there's no Flowers option!
