arbitro Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I thought this match deserving of it's own thread. Ordinarily I wouldn't agree but as it's a final and against the Troglodytes then winning becomes all that matters. On paper we should win. We have the quality and experience and stuffing them at anything matters. As of this morning there were less than 600 tickets sold. 4 Quote

JHRover Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I noticed that the sales window for tickets was extended to this afternoon, which suggested sales have been slow. Rovers fans are being given the poor end of the ground, which is a bit of a mick take given we rent the place for our u23s all year. 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Thought charging a tenner for a youth game was taking the piss. Quote

In 1989 Rovers took 4,000 fans to Turd Moor is a group match which we won 0-2 The IoM festivals were good too, saw some decent teams and games there. Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Really disappointing not sell a thousand for this. I'm going down now and I'm nervous. A cups a cup and against that lot it means everything. COYB Quote

Given the extra security, portaloo's etc that they have they to pay for will struggle to make much money. I think they saw a quick buck to be made and it could backfire on them. 2 Quote
tomphil Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Should've had it at Ewood instead of the centre of Leyland miles away from either town. Can't be at all surprised it'll be poorly attended. Quote
sympatheticclaret Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 There was a Lancashire FA youth Cup semi-final played at Turf Moor about 25 years ago, and about 9,000 turned up I seem to remember ..... can't recall the score, though ... Quote

Stuart Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Fisher doing the magic trick of starting without even being in the squad. Albinson must be injured/ill/off - not even on the bench. Quote
Stuart Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Plus: they’ve handed out a free programme for the occasion. Minus: I think the Rovers bio in it was written by a dingle. Quote

Don't see a good reason for Chapman and Davenport to not be on the bench just cos they made sub appearances two days ago. Doesn't look like there's any limit on the subs judging by Burnley's sheet!
