We are playing a newly promoted team with injury problems and defensive problems as their friendlies demonstrated. Mowbray has spent close on £15million on strikers in 12 months. If we can't blow Charlton away then we really do have problems. This point is really difficult to ignore. And none of that money was spent on Graham or Dack who score 90% of our goals. Looking at it right now our recruitment budget has been wasted. 3 Quote

I do know a lot of Leeds from the Preston area and granted most of them do enjoy a chew. 1 Quote

JBiz Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Cocu’s Debut - despite frustration at some aspects of modern “Sky footy”, I can always enjoy a live football game to some extent! Especially when we’ve played so horrifically bad at cricket... 2 Quote
Tormund Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Tom Lawrence killing it. Derby looking very good. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted August 5, 2019 Backroom Posted August 5, 2019 These two look leagues above what we saw at weekend Quote

JBiz Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Huddersfield crowd a lack of patience, which is probably to be expected after last season. They’ve also defended like idiots, which we can empathise with that frustration. Derby look a different class at the minute, however I can’t see Keogh getting away with defending so high all season. 1 Quote
arbitro Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Over the weekend I saw five Championship games and without doubt the worst two teams were us and Charlton. Hopefully that's not the template for this season but I have to say (even at this early stage) that in my opinion Mowbrays target of Playoffs is a million miles away. I'm already buckling myself in for a long, hard season. 2 Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 The televised championship games have been a joy to watch this weekend. Some really entertaining stuff. Long may it continue. 2 Quote

Vinjay Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Why on earth would anyone hire that thug as a coach never mind manager? Not to mention he's thick as a brick. Quote

Vinjay Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I didn't like him when he played for Everton the first time round. Unpleasant thug then, unpleasant thug now. 2 Quote

Scotland1 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Not currently looking good for Big Club... 3-0 at Pompey still 30 mins to go. Youthfulish looing side, dark days ahead if they keep Clotet Quote
Backroom DE. Posted August 6, 2019 Backroom Posted August 6, 2019 It's only the Carabao Cup tbf, and they won their first match of the season away to Brentford, so a bit early to be calling doom on them yet! Quote
