Exiled in Toronto Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 (edited) Am I the only one watching this? Cracking game so far between Peru and Chile: lots of skill, both looking to attack, proper kits too - half expecting Cubillas to pop up and smash one in. Conversely, Brazil vs Argentina last night was dreadful, everything that’s bad about the modern men’s game. I hadn’t realized how little Messi does off the ball, he spent half the game not moving at all. Edited July 4, 2019 by Exiled in Toronto Quote

Commondore Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I’ts the first time I’ve seen several games between South American teams in a row, the place can be truly sluggish at times only to suddenly explode into bursts of fantastic football, like with Brazil’s first goal yesterday. Quote
arbitro Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 An interesting development in the aftermath of Argentina v Brazil when Argentina felt incredibly hard done to by VAR. I read that they have requested the audio from two VAR referrals which the referee allegedly refused to look at. There is also an inference that the Brazilian FA interfered. https://mundoalbiceleste.com/2019/07/03/referee-advised-to-go-to-var-during-argentina-vs-brazil-afa-request/ Quote
