I think if Mulgrew plays in a 3 then he has to be central. The wide centre halves can get exposed and left 1 on 1 a bit in that system.

He doesnt have the legs for that spot for me anymore.

We will definitely be playing 4231. A formation like you propose totally sidelines Dack.

I'm sticking with :

Subs : Fisher, Mulgrew, Bennett, Evans, Armstrong, Gallagher, Brereton

Its a shame that Buckley, Davenport, Chapman all will struggle to get a place on the bench.

Williams is out for 6 weeks. 

Probably close enough to what we will go with apart from that. I'm not against 4-2-3-1, I just don't think we will use it. 

It's a shame if they don't, but it does show the strength in depth we have in midfield and attack.

Think we'll likely start with that formation, but with Tosin (or another incoming) in for Williams, Bell in for Hart, and I'm not confident at all about who starts on the right. Personally I'd like Rothwell on one side and Armstrong on the other, but I think Downing or Bennett are probably more likely.

Problem is the central CB needs to be able to put his head on the ball regularly, which Mowbray admitted last season none of our current defenders can or will do.

after a busy transfer window we have focused our activity on signing the best players from the league below,so they will either be shite or wanting to prove themseleves, knowing charlton i know which one it will be?

you will probs beat us as we will struggle next season but we may just carry our form through from last year
