Popular Post tomphil
I see he's wailing again about budgets and bringing in good players. This fooker has more front playing the victim card than the Duchess of Entitlement and her ginger lapdog. Meanwhile he's loaning in defenders still after 4 years whilst 12 million quids worth of forwards struggle. Not to mention the 3 year contract to already unfit Ayala, the pointless resigning of Downing and a 3rd keeper we didn't need in Pears. About time he fell on his own sword he's unbearable now, the backing he's had here he should be on his knees to India.

Hes not talking to the fans, he’s talking to the owners. For some reason they’ve always accepted this tripe and apparently still do.
simongarnerisgod
tony is revelling in the fact that that at the moment fans can`t give their opinion in the stadium,im`e also convinced he thinks we are all naive football wise and in his mind the fans are behind his methods and we`ll never question him,he`s got a nasty shock next season though, unless his recruitment in the summer propels us into promotion contention(unlikely in my book)

Would it be different if we'd never have gone down and come back up but instead just scraped up and just ploughed steadily along in the same poor finishing positions? I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. Relegation to the third tier was the best thing for Mowbray and the absolute worst thing for Rovers. We are NOT a third tier club but some are now conditioned to think that we could/would/should be but for Mowbray.

If he'd kept us up he'd have got hearty plaudits for that but not quite the footballing messiah status. Then most likely we'd have had a consolidation season and 3 underwhelming ones by now. Not much would be different and the picture would be a lot clearer as to his championship abilities.

If his trajectory had been 21st, 16th, 15th, 11th, 15th (so far) instead of 22nd, 2nd, 11th, 15th (so far) he’d have lost the supporters a long time ago - just like Bowyer. PeteJD13
a win and a draw and the social media mowbray swingometer is back to giving him another year, then that will be give him another year after that as he's re building.

If we don't beat Brentford that's 1 win in 10. If those fans are happy with that then maybe they should be supporting a club a few miles to the east.
Dolly blue
Tony is a very lucky lad ....when things couldn’t get much worse his “ main man “ Armstrong, gets injured and forces his hand ....has that happened before ? Evans / Smallwood ? ....so step forward Dolan and Travis ....the question is ....would they have ever stepped forward without being forced? Our current crop of academy graduates is making him look a half decent manager...JRC , Nyambe, Lenihan, Buckley, Travis ,Wharton ....plus the emergence of Pike, Dolan etc .....compare this to what Tony’s signings have brought us.....Ayala, Bell, Douglas, Downing, Johnson, Brererton , Gallagher...and too many duds in his first couple of seasons to mention .I’ll give him credit for Dack and Armstrong...if he were to play them correctly ( even I get a golf swing perfect occasionally...law of averages) Without Jonno formerly, and Billy Barr currently...we would be in one hell of a mess ....I cannot stand his bleatings about bad luck....he must be the luckiest man in the Championship....our luck as fans, has to change at some point...so ...thank you The Academy ...let’s hope more of them get game time ahead of loanees ...and Tony takes his luck back to the North East....just imagine what a half decent manager , with this Academy and the millions this bloke has spent could do for our club?? I Iive in hope ...because when those turnstiles do eventually turn....we could be on the the edge of something good.... these kids that but more experienced ...and a new man driving us to what we can be instead of currently what we are ....

Spot on, it's not said enough just how fortunate he's been to inherit a superbly functioning Academy that is brunging unprecedented numbers of players through. Not only that but they are quality players too, not just there to warm the subs bench when injures strike. If course he could say he's integrating them and giving them a chance, but no other club in the Championship has been able to call on the quality and quantity of players from their Academy that Mowbray has.

RoversClitheroe
Mowbray needs to go. Only reason we're performing better is due to him not worrying about opposition or over thinking ridiculous selections. We still only have 5 points from a possible 27 which is absolutely awful. Edited March 10, 2021 by RoversClitheroe I said winning, when we aren't.
Popular Post Ghost7
Very obvious from early season performances that Dolan should have been used more this season. Not solely relied upon but certainly given more than 15 minutes here and there.

The club needs its fans but has lost so much goodwill over Venkys tenure that its hard to envisage many turning up. I'll 'pull together' when they start treating people properly.
