Dolly blue Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Same old, same old..LT and Radio Lancs disgust me....platitudes, crap.....not one “ journalist “ has the balls to challenge the “ shame of Ewood Park”. Absolutely nothing....it’s the helplessness that kills me....so, if Mowbray and his pathetic back room team is still at Ewood , as soon as it it permissible to enter the ground....I shall buy a ticket for The Jack Walker Lower and “ talk to him “ very loudly for 90 minutes ( and added time ) ...when / if he goes my season ticket will be purchased. Could you imagine three years down the line the building not being finished and having to start the build again because the head foreman Tony had the radical idea to put jelly down as foundations and entry doors on the roof. He'd have the plumbers doing the electrics, the brickies doing the plumbing and the roofer designing the pitches. It would go massively over budget and then have to be torn down for not meeting quality standards. Edited May 2, 2021 by Hoochie Bloochie Mama 6 Quote

Those plans were never properly thought through. You could never have both sites at the academy site. Plus residents at Brockhall would never allow it. Plus over Clitheroe and Whalley there is already a number of different new property developments already happening. 14 minutes ago, Bigdoggsteel said: Sharpe needs to get the finger out and put it to Mowbray that the majority of fans have turned. See what he says to that. Call him out on the excuses that he will inevitably give. It's not difficult. Shooting fish in a barrell really. Sharpe wont go to far cos the LT need access to Rovers for their people who read their newspaper. Quote

Of course they do, but the decline of regional newspapers due to the structural change to the industry brought on by the internet, means local journalism is now too conflicted to carry out its age old remit. Popular Post TimmyJimmy Posted May 2, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 2, 2021 The facts are unarguable. We have lost a lot of matches. FACT Someone has to be at fault. FACT Whose fault is it? If it's the players, who bought them? If it's the coaching staff, who hired them? Players in wrong positions, who put them there? Playing a passing game with players who can't pass or cross, who made that choice? I could go on but what's the point. The buck has to stop somewhere and the 'where' is obvious. To finish the season the way we have and for him not to take total and full responsibility is incomprehensible. TM you're at fault here. It cannot be argued otherwise. If TM is here next season then nothing changes and that's desperate, what a prospect, haven't the fans suffered enough over the last decade? I'm a fanatic, I can't be otherwise. I'll be there next season. I'll support the club until there's no breath left in my body. But what a depressing prospect. This isn't what I signed up for when my dad took me to see Dougie and Clayton. Curse you dad for getting me hooked, curse you TM for what you're turning the club into, lower table cannon fodder. 14 Quote
Popular Post Ewood Ace Posted May 2, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 2, 2021 (edited) Last years target 70 points, he finished 7 points short. This season's target top 6 which we will finish a minimum of 20 points short of. When is someone either at the club or in the local press going to hold him to account? Sharpe wont go to far cos the LT need access to Rovers for their people who read their newspaper. This thing works both ways though. The local media-club relationship is not a one way street. Not at our level. A PL club like Newcastle could get away with ostracizing a local paper if they didn't toe the line, but Rovers couldn't. Rovers depend on the Telegraph as its mouthpiece, particularly to the older generations of fans not hooked onto Facebook and Twitter. So they would have to be very careful about cutting off that particular avenue. Rovers burn their bridges with the Telegraph and they lose their biggest outlet in the local area. 1 Quote

At least 300,000 so up to 600,000. Could be more. The point is the same. He ain't walking away from it, contrary to his comments about integrity and not over staying his welcome. I'm not sure of the reasons why Sharpe won't, but calling Mowbray out on obvious issues is hardly reason to cut off access. In fact it would come accross as sad and pathetic to do so. Does anyone actually buy that paper for soelely Rovers stuff though really? I mean, you would know more about the club reading what's posted here. There is some reason why Sharpe doesn't though Edited May 2, 2021 by Bigdoggsteel Quote

Genuinely don't think Mowbray gives a shit on image. He's consistently changed his view or opinion to suit his need, and backtracked on comments, insulted Rovers copious amounts of times. Belittled our Academy youngster copious amounts when he's 2.5 times older. So yeah he'd do anything. 1 Quote

Oh yes, I expect a ban on interviews would hurt the Telegraph more than it would Rovers But, by the same token, Rovers are not in a position of strength here, a ban on the Telegraph would impact negatively on them too. There's a reason Rovers use the Telegraph to advertise and for interviews - they know full well it is just about the only way they can reach a large portion of their fanbase on a regular basis. Lose that link and they could lose even more fans (if they care). 4 Quote

Then when reality dawns he just ups his posts and moves them as if nothing else has been said. By seasons end he's contradicting himself on a weekly if not daily basis. The majority have seen through this now just like the multitude of rotations and changes he often needlessly does. Chuck in the possession and stats obsession and it's fair to say he's been rumbled on every front now. That's why the show is over all we are in for is more repeats. 1 Quote

I mean you’d think that Mowbray was a heaven sent saviour with some people in the LT comments list. The LT on the other hand will not print any comment that is too derogatory towards Mowbray in their eyes it would appear. I sent in a comment asking them to grow some and call out Mowbray over the statements he has made regarding how he said he is an honourable man, he would not be a burden on the club, blah blah blah. Of course the LT didn’t print my comment. 2 Quote

Boroblue Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 The only person saying he’s staying and rebuilding is the boro boy himself and past experiences tells us all that you can take what he says with a pinch of salt. If he was so in control why hasn’t he issued new contracts isn’t that a priority in a rebuild and why was Mowbrays brockhall initiative scuppered essential according to our leaders. Why has according to people on here communication stopped with Pune. All his recent ramblings seem more like a resume of his CV while here building things, developing players and his great connections with the premiere big boys. It’s more like he’s applying for jobs. I may have a bad case of confirmation bias but I feel the above indicates he’s going. I don’t feel the top 6 finish was ever the plodders idea but was forced on him and he’s failed miserably and when he recognised this it’s been an endless stream of excuses it’s about performance not results etc. It could be that our next manager wouldn’t take over at the rag end of a season with an unbalanced squad and closing in on relegation. I have no concrete evidence for this but equally there is none for him staying other than from Mowbray l just hope that he goes. 1 Quote
