I agree with @JohnGo we need the next Valerian Ismail or a Chris Wilder type rather than a Mick McCarthy of Neil Warnock.

We need fresh blood and to over achieve on a mid table budget.

Im still curious to see who they’ve got lined up 👀

Might as well have Zinedine Zidane or Jogi Low lined up. No vacancy though so they could offer to do the job for free and Mowbray would still be here.

Who they’ve got lined up? Mowbray is still here and there’s nothing to remotely suggest he’ll be going anywhere any time soon.

"Why do you want to sign Zidane when we have Tony Mowbray?"

All will finish above us and I'll have a bet at least one of those three finishes in the top 6.

How many points did we take off Warnock's Boro team?

You said that Warnock would get top 6 last season and he got nowhere close.

Big predictions so early into this summer transfer window.

Well that's cracking logic isn't it? I mean we beat Manure under the odious one at their place. Didn't make him a good manager though. Terrible logic.

They were a damn sight nearer then we were. Which kind of suggests he is a better manager. Factor in where they were last season and it's a pretty good one for them. And even if it isn't, we aren't in a position to boast.

Yes it is a rather big prediction. Wonder what sort of evidence could have printed such a conclusion.

Have you heard updated info?

Still think he’ll go and that the manager they have in their mind is in a job already...which I’m guessing is the most likely reason for delay.

Jurgen Klopps cousin, Clipperty.

We may need a wilder/Howe type but there's not a chance in hell that will happen under Venky's.  Think washed up has been, or some such.

I hope to god you’re right, drink on me if you are. If you’re wrong then I’ll let the mods deal with you 😉

But closer than the manager you backed to the hilt, who you now want out.

Bit odd to be criticising Warnock.

They finished seven points better off than us, a swing of 17 points from the previous season when we finished ten points ahead of them and if memory serves me correctly he was brought in to save them.

Yes he saved them in the previous season with a quality squad there

You obviously forgot how we stole a victory off boro due to terrible refereeing. Also I'm pretty sure you said we would finish above boro at some point last season during a debate about Warnock's quality. How did that prediction pan out?

In the midst of that latest horror run, he gave the impression of having given up and waiting for the payoff, as is normal in football.

I imagine now he realises (if he didn’t already) that he is bulletproof, the ego will be out of control next season.

He'll have a whole new narrative to spin next season his PR mob will be working on it right now.

Fail with all the targets and tools he's asked for the last few years so strip them away. Remove the evidence and go with a bare bones slimmed down version with a target of bettering 15th place.

The new journey has just begun and reducing the wage bill will be the new mantra. The wage bill and running costs he and his cronies had spent the last few years bloating again  and wasting. Along with wasting the clubs best chances of kicking on in the last decade.

Lapdogs will lap it up again, however there is always 12 million worth of elephants in the room to remind us !

It seems like we have gone back to calling people out for saying something which hasn’t transpired, then people biting back, indicating they know something we don’t.

Can we not do that please?

As stated before, the information was posted in good faith, by a number of posters, so, at that time, there may have been something in it. Who knows what may have happened since, but either Venky’s are waiting for something else to happen before they pull the trigger, or they’ve changed their mind. With them, pretty much anything goes, so it’s probably not worth getting worked up about rumour and hearsay until anything actually happens....

Certainly not me! He's going absolutely nowhere

I notice since the season has ended, we have not heard from Mowbray, all details of new contracts etc are for the youngsters, and news is about these and today how the U23's etc have done. No comments direct from Mowbray.

Could he actually be on his way, only contracts renewed are the ones that we could force to be extended.

Fingers crossed, that he will be gone soon.
