First and B team on adjacent training pitches, you say?

There'll end having to be a 24/7 rota by the sound of things in order to let everyone cover everything.

Hope the residents like all late night floodlights, oh and the extra vans in and out everyday carrying stuff that'll end up being stored at Ewood instead.

Without jumping the gun Mowbray is on about the model Brentford use, get young ones in, nurture and sell at high prices it’s nothing to do with the stature of the club

the major difference between them and us is they have a long term plan and a progressive manager(though i don`t like him and his sly team)we have a dinosaur manager and owners who hav`nt got a clue

Mowbray has been downplaying the status of Blackburn Rovers since he’s been here @1864roverite

Hes regularly saying the fans shouldn’t be expecting rovers to be competing with giants like - PNE for instance.

the way he speaks you can tell he think the fans are a bit dim and should be grateful for his presence

Am no longer a fan of Mowbray and want him replaced but the model for Brentford is the only real way forward for Rovers in the future. They may not have a long term plan, I suspect they will disagree but the model and cash they have made, reinvested and will no doubt make more in the future isn’t a bad one. If Rovers aspirations are greater then major changes have to be made at the top.

One of my major irritations with him is when he 'reminds' us how long he has been in the game. It's his condescending way of telling us he knows best, doing his utmost to accentuate the myth that unless you've played the game professionally you know nowt.

I'm sure every club in this league are aspiring to create the Brentford model, or at least the ones who are not relying on the Premiership £££££.

One of the reason we want to keep the training ground in tact is to bring our own players through the academy and sell them on if necessary.

John Williams told us time and time again this was the way forward for Blackburn Rovers and he wasn't wrong.

Nobody is saying we shouldn’t bring youth through. They should supplement the first team, not totally replace it.

Venkys sold an entire Premier League squad in order to replace it with our own youngsters to sell on and invest the proceeds in the first team - 11 years ago.

Personally I’ve never heard a rovers manager so negative about the ability of his own squad, so regularly downgrading the stature of his own club or the constant positivity towards every opponent we play.

Why should fans have to listen to this claptrap?

Trouble is even when he is positive, he's spouting claptrap. If he talks like this publicly, what on earth is he like in training, around the club etc. I can well imagine we don't need a sleep specialist ala fergie at Brockhall haha.

I like you, you see right through him too.

Is not the Brentford model the moneyball one? ie passed on collecting data and basing purchases on that more than the subjective norm. They have a real scouting system in place, unlike us, as they turn out player after player, and we sign 1 period. We need a proper leader, best interests, vision in place and everything geared towards putting out the best team possible. I dunno why but I swear I saw the same cat walk past me twice, a bit like de ja fu (sp), can't think why.....

Sadly missed and their biggest mistake, if their intentions are decent.

Put it this way, the academy has helped TM out massively. Three of our defenders, our defensive midfield linchpin, JRC and Buckley and prior to that a keeper to replace Steele. Getting rid of a model that has given us this level of success seems a tad dangerous to me even if replaced with something good, which I am far from convinced by.

Tough night tonight for everybody but the 6 losses in 7 ruined the season. At least half of that was on the managers head.

All wrong again tonight with the starting line up and tactics the guys commentating and in the studio highlighted it more than once. Good team they are but we were too easy to push back again. Decent changes and we looked a far better side.

Dacks injury is a disaster for everyone but of course it seems Mowbray is getting half the sympathy for it 'because he really cares'.  Well i think there'd be something very wrong if he didn't.

Injury and penalty farces aside tonight told us nothing we didn't already know, he's overcooked the goose yet again.

Dack potentially out for another year, Armstrong most likely on the way, Elliott back to Liverpool. That's a lot of goals/assists going from our team. If Mowbray is here next season then a relegation battle is an absolute certainty, we are desperately in need of some fresh ideas.

Yeah was thinking that too. Well hadn't factored in Elliott but no Dack or Armstrong under TM is terrifying.
