SuperBrfc Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Have a listen to what Keegan says from 1:26 onwards. That's exactly the type of attitude I want to see from a Rovers manager. Mowbray is so far away from that kind of positive approach it's unreal. Bigging up average opposition every week just to cover himself. It gives players an excuse and puts doubts in their minds before a ball has even been kicked. There are many things that wind me up about this lot. The defeatist, loser mentality is right up there as one of them. The fact he makes out as if he is some sort of football visionary is absolutely laughable. 8 Quote

He really does think he is some sort of modern day pioneer of the game in the same mould of Guardiola. He's utterly deluded I have seen anything since Mowbray turned up at Rovers that I hadn't seen before and I have also see a hell of a lot better stuff than anything he has ever produced. Gallagher and Holtby too Quote

I always remember the interview he gave when he resigned from the England job, took full responsibility for his failings and left with his honour in tact. No excuses. Cant remember a time where our Tony has taken any responsibility or blame since we’ve been on this bad run. If he’s still here next season I’m honestly not renewing my season ticket. 6 Quote

Mowbray always wanted Gallagher to come back to Rovers. Rovers have scouting Pickering for 2 years according to local.media reports. Kaminski was scouted by our European scouting network for months. Mowbray wanted Gladwim and Bell before we got them. We wanted Rothwell during our league 1 season. Also question @JHRover, if they aren't Mowbray's signings then who.is signing them? Quote
Popular Post tomphil Posted March 17, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2021 One thing you had to respect about Keegan is he was an all or nothing kind of guy. Driven by his emotions too much but if it was crap he'd say it was crap and when he knew the game was up he held his hand up and walked. Football badly misses characters like him and their do or die style football. We had some great set too's with Newcastle in his time there. They were always like cup semi finals no matter what league position. Remember him going to to confront hundreds of angry Geordies on the steps at St James park when he was going to sell Cole ? Imagine someone having those kind of balls now, our fella hides at the back of the dugout in games when it ain't going well. 12 Quote

Bigdoggsteel Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 How can anyone back him at this stage? The only fear would be they make a terrible appointment, but could anyone really be worse at this stage? I don't think so We could be relegated yet. Classic Venkys. Idiots 1 Quote
Ewood Ace Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Another barrel load of garbage from him. Bemoaning the fact that sides sit deep against us, Cardiff did it in the 4th game of the season we didn't have an answer then and 30+ games on we still don't. Instead of moaning about it come up with some fresh ideas instead of doing the same things game after game and getting the same results. As for saying that Gallagher 'isn’t someone who historically has scored goals from crosses'. Well it's quite difficult for him to when he is the one putting the crosses in tonight for example we had the 6ft 3 Gallagher putting in crosses for the 5ft 5 Dolan. But Gallagher showed under Coyle that if played central he can score goals from crosses. 'Find the answers' - Mowbray's verdict on Bristol City stalemate | Lancashire Telegraph 8 Quote
skous18 Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Cant believe Mowbray is still here. I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror if I were him. Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Mowbray isn't going anywhere unless he is paid off and I doubt "The Coventry 3" as a whole intend going anywhere until the Brockhall development thing is resolved one way or the other. Ideally we need the owners to step in and give all three the bullet. We can but live in hope. 4 Quote
