gumboots Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 When Mowbray came in, there was a lot of goodwill simply because he was not Coyle. Even a still avoidable when he arrived relegation didn't really spoil it and bringing us back up gave him credit in the bank. He's been eating into this steadily year on year and were it possible to protest id be there doing it even though I no longer attend matches. He quite simply HAS to go. There is no honesty or pride in remaining. His reputation is so far damaged that he has none left. Just leave, Tony, and let our team move on. 9 Quote

Williams, Travis, Dack, AA..... The Williams one was total coddswallop imo. I think he was fit and Mr Human was giving him a game to confirm this to his potential suitors. Comes through a game, all systems go so he's pulled from the rest. Tony takes responsibility for rushing him back knowing full well Fook Off Derek is flying to the States. No American club is signing an injured oversees player. These lot run BRFC to suit themselves and their players first and foremost. Edited March 19, 2021 by tomphil 3 Quote

He’s an imposter. Saturday is a free hit for him (although it seems like every game is). Win or draw and he will proclaim it a great result and evidence that we aren't far off. Lose by one goal and it will be another hard luck tale. Even if we get hammered he'll come out and say it's the first time this season and they are top of the league and were in the Premiership last season. 4 Quote

arbitro Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 The last time I looked a 1-0 defeat meant no points. Mowbray, in his inimitable way is talking like these losses are some kind of moral victory and some will undoubtedly buy into this because, well, erm Mowbray said it. To be honest I'm getting to the point where it's all becoming boring now. The complete autonomy he and Waggott have is just no good for any organisation. There is no accountability and as we trundle along they are untouchable as our delightful owners seemingly don't care buy hey, they are signing the cheques so all is right. 6 Quote

We're safe because other teams like Rotherham are utter shite. We're just shite. I think this is my take on it too. Well not Rotherham beating us (that could well happen if they are up for a fight) but that they don't have the ability or consistency to get near our current points total. Remember even the shambles of the other night yielded a point for us, dire though it was. We have 2 points more from this run of fixtures than feared already. Don't think that it is at all likely we will go down this season. Next season however - now that is grim. No Arms, Elliott or Dack. There's always another Walton or Ayala lurking in TMs recruitment. All in all without a change next year i would be very worried. 2 Quote
Popular Post Oldgregg86 Posted March 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 19, 2021 Am I missing something. tony came in to keep us up and failed. he surrendered the league title to the mighty Wigan on coming back up since then he’s kept us in the championship without every challenging playing the most boring football in the world. Something any manager could do with the backing he’s had. he’s abused or finances with contracts to mates and handing extensions out like toffee why fans pay a tax to want to come down to ewood and now he’s part of a team trying to dismantle the training ground and jacks legacy. All this after we brought him out of the footballing scrap heap. what do we as a club or as fans owe him and why isn’t every single fan wanting this clown removed especially after the famous deaths spirals year on year. Am sick to the back teeth of this idiot along with all his cronies and I’m getting fed up of our own fans giving him the benefit of the doubt. THERE IS NO DOUBT. HES A CLUELESS SELF OBSSESSED BAFFOON just feck off 12 Quote

Thankfully however we are nowhere near the bottom of the form table. https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=2 I do not believe we will go down, I do think that even with TM leading us, we will somehow get to the required 50 points. I hope I am right (famous last words) and only time will tell, but we have enough about us to avoid the drop. It may well be tight, but we will be safe this year. And look at who is at the top of that one, and 2nd in the last 6 - the mighty Barnsley. Anyway, all that is immaterial. As long as tomorrow we only lose by the odd goal, 1-0 or 2-1 say, & Farke says that we're fecking brilliant, then all is well. I'm actually reaching the anger point now, it's gone way past frustration. Somebody just get rid of this absolute helmet! 5 Quote

Reason being, if he has to serve 14 days quarantine, maybe his remit is to come and wield the axe, but he's doing it face to face. Not wanting to get folks hopes up as I don't believe it myself, but was just a passing thought as I try and think positively on my 134th day of furlough. 1 Quote

tomphil Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 That middleman won't be sacking anybody i don't think probably too busy protecting his own cushy number. They got Senior in to oust Coyle, Lambert walked, Singh was here for the Kean, Berg, Appleton saga. Only leaves Bowyer, no sure how they sacked him but they did seem to be trying to get him to resign with the stuff leaking to the press, that he'd been sacked weeks before he was. 1 Quote

Instead of being 3rd in possession stats overall. At least Mowbray has achieved top 6 at something this season. Let's have a party this great achievement 😂 We dont create chances tho on a regular basis. Our final pass or cross is appalling under Mowbray. Not good enough Did he? At Birmingham City he played in a long ball team that created few chances under Steve Cotterill from what I read at the time. Depends how you play him within your side. If you are playing 1 up front then no. 2 up front? Maybe. Gives the new guy time to spend putting his tactics, ideas, etc over to the players. Its doesnt frustrate me at all. Venkys will know everything what is going on at the club. Pasha is over What style of play would suit Gallagher if direct football doesnt? Technically he is a donkey, not overly fast, what suits him? Our tactics may be curious but Armstrong and when he played Dack both manage to score plenty of goals, because they are goalscorers. Goalscorers tend to score goals regardless. Rhodes scored plenty in some really shit teams. Your mockery of Mowbray is hilarious and when he goes into next season probably still managing us, I suspect it will all be locked away and never seen again. I would have sacked him long ago but sadly I dont anticipate it anytime soon. 1 Quote

tomphil Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 So he's going back to December with that yet still no plan B, presumably because things improved in Jan for a bit. Then back to square one but didn't he say the other day i'm the manager it' up to me to figure a way to win games ? In that case still no plan B just keep working on the law of averages and once in a while something drops for us ? Quote
Popular Post ben_the_beast Posted March 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 19, 2021 There is a very solid reason why we aren't getting blown away by teams and that is that our tactics consist of keeping the ball all the time and doing absolutely nothing with it. Once a side is ahead against us the game plays out in exactly the same pattern. The opposition being more than happy for us to rotate possession amongst ourselves with zero penetration. That right there is a pattern Mr Mowbray. We rarely score first. There is always a soft underbelly to us and all our play does is nullify the rest of the game. 18 Quote
