This quote stood out for me too. Obviously written word doesn't offer much insight in to the delivery of a statement, but it feels like another contemptuous, scornful, belittling, snide, barbed comment towards any journalist daring to bring to his attention the glaringly obvious failure of his role. Facetious insinuations that that there are only two polar opposite methods of running a football club (blindly support the current 'now' failure OR rifle through six managers a season) are not only insane, but also downright disrespectful to anyone daring to question his position. Wonder if they all stayed quiet at that point or pointed out that this was indeed the worst run of results in 43 years.... not "losing three on the bounce". Edited April 8, 2021 by Jimmy612 8 Quote

Ghost7 Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 We've suffered two relegations already because of the owner's inability to do anything. It's appalling we haven't had a senior statement addressing this issues at the club given the seemingly near 100% discontented fan base. If they have a reason to keep him, please let us know what it is. 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Because our owners dont give a flying fuck about the club, as has been proven right throughout their time owning us. He isnt as bad as Coyle or indeed Kean either. We are going backwards, he has long since overstayed his welcome, but he isnt as bad as those 2 and will have to do a lot to get to that stage. 3 Quote

Publicly, they should back him or alternatively sack him. To say or do nothing are not options. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 They watch the games, we all get disappointed when the final result is a defeat, but they watch the games and if they can see some light, where the team is trying to go, see the journey this team is on then they have to make a call. That’s all. Oh, fuck off 1 Quote

Certainly a unique way to run a professional football club... 4 Quote

JHRover Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Expecting me to believe that the owners watch every one of our games and understand what is happening is almost as ridiculous as expecting me to believe that the training ground scheme is being done for the right reasons Both are lies and BS. 5 Quote

Popular Post windymiller7 Posted April 8, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 8, 2021 He's pissing himself laughing at us now as he knows his mate won't sack him, Pasha is a pussy, & the local press won't push anything too hard. The only way he'd get any grief would be from us in the ground and he knows that that's not an option we have. FWIW I think he'd cave under a barrage of abuse from the fans on a matchday. I'm so angry, & feel so utterly helpless that it makes me even more angry. (I've noticed Les isn't answering his phone today btw!) 12 Quote

Nowadays, in Mowbrays world results shouldn’t matter to the owners or the manager. Would that be because he can’t get results? Hes turned into a wind up merchant of Kean proportions. and while I’m at it, - all this talk from him lately about fans at Ewood expecting too much. Fans at Rovers have been spoilt with the PL days he’s saying quite often now. Well, yes, we were spoilt. Just so you know Tony a lot of those fans have been around Ewood Park for a long, long time. Some of them 70 years +. They’ve seen far more football than you have, they’ve seen a hell of a lot of managers come and go in that time. They know a good manager and they know a bad manager. They also know a bullshitter when they see one. Youre currently falling into one of the worst managers and biggest bullshitters they’ve seen. 14 Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 He hasn't just lost 2-3 games. That's a small death spiral for him. He is doing far worse than that. He's taking the piss. Absolute clown. Did anyone ask any difficult questions? Quote

It would be daft to sack a manager if they sacked a manager for losing three on the bounce. But how about six on the bounce? Or with one win in 14? I mean as a defence it would be good if those were the options but they're not whatsoever the two alternatives we are facing. Surprised - well I am not - that no one called him out on this as his defence is utterly at odds with reality and the situation. He can do one. Second worse manager behind Kean now imo. Ince and Coyle were useless but less objectionable. 4 Quote
