TruRover Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Was it me or was Bennett playing leftback and bell at right back? Quote

Couple of times Fulham have gone down for fouls which were dubious when we were in dangerous positions. Overall, Fulham couldn't be complaining if it were 0-1 but Cairney scored a worldy. Armstrong is absolute cack, should't be in the side. Quote

lraC Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) Fulham playing a very dangerous game playing out from the back. We have pressed them and come close to making something off it a couple of times. Great strike by Cairney. Thought the defence were far better than last week. Tosin looks class. Gallagher having a good game too. Edited August 10, 2019 by lraC Quote
briansol Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Really good performance, unlucky to be behind. I really like that the look of the team. Very mobile and balanced. Williams and Tosin has been great, quite incredible given Williams have no preseason and Tosin just arrived. Honourable mention to Bennett who has stifled Cavalliero and kept possesion. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Sounds like we have offered very little in front of goal, apart from a Gallagher header, according to the BBC. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Played much better than last week but ruined half an hour's good work by being unprofessional and not closing Cairney down for the goal. On the downside once again we have yet to work the opposition keeper. Still think Gallagher is terrible and imo Armstrong has been poor on the right wing given the time and opportunities he's had. Dack has looked a lot keener and looks our main chance of something happening. Quote

Tugay-is-God Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Armstrong was doing a lot more than Rothwell that half. Quote
skous18 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 we stayed well on the pitch this first half, some may say we were the better team. However, I dont really think any of our players is really putting a shift- Williams maybe, but thats about it. Armstrong looked lively, but he created nothing. 0 shots on target for Rovers. We cant really expect to win this game if we continue that way. Quote
Darrenbot Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 No point in playing well if you dont get shots on target, last time i looked you have to hit the target to score a goal and we seem to be bad at hitting the target so far this season. 1 Quote
geedog13 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Keep hearing we are in this but the stats say different Quote
philipl Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 How on earth can the BBC have possession 66-34 in Fulham's favour? I looked to see how far Rovers were ahead.... Quote

Been dangerous on multiple times. Johnson with a couple of good opportunities. Armstrong enjoying a lot of space on the right side, with final ball not quite there. Fulham had very little except for a Johnson giveaway that Knockhart fired just wide. Quote
Tugay's Right Foot Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Credits to the lads. Better looking team and more dangerous. We looked to have Fulham in our pocket but one lapse in closing down led to 25 yarder. Bell still a shade out of sync. Keep plugging g away and don’t concede! Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 I don't know if Pep would have tought Toshin how to hoof it to Graham This new way of playing has so far resulted in no shots on target in 120 mins Did they not practice this against quality opposition in pre-season ? 4 Quote

Don't understand where the 6 goal attempt are coming from, they only had one other chance as I can recall. 1 Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 We've been decent without creating any actual chances. New lad at the back has looked solid as has Williams. Bell looks ropey. Armstrong has run a lot but lacked quality. Bennett has actually been OK. Gallagher looks expensive. Very harsh to be losing, quality goal yet they've done fuck all else. I'd guess this will be 2-0 or 1-1. Quote
philipl Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 There will be at least one great chance for Rovers to score- we have to be ruthless. Quote

Exiled in Toronto Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 At least half of Fulham’s possession has been in or around their own penalty are. I’d say at least two thirds of play has been in their half. We nearly scored after 24-seconds without them having touched the ball, should have put it in really. Considering we are away to a team costing over £100 million, we are doing OK. 1 Quote
tonyoz Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Much better this week. Bell terrible again, Rothwell failing to live up to expectations again, Tosin impressive, williams steady too. Dack’s had some lovely touches but again we haven’t troubled the opposition keeper yet this season! Quote
