After the Spurs and I think it was Everton games where we didn't have a shot (I think we had one right at the end of one of them)? I don't mean on target, I mean at all. Then he basically came out and said we played well. Not even then? Unfortunately so. Crazy thing to say but everything is so blindingly obvious and shite. Had enough of Mowbray and his tactics and his signings. Quote

Stuart Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 In other news, Bennett continues to be turned into the new Jason Lowe. Chosen as captain for the wrong reasons Anderson selected out of position (ironically also at right back) despite being a liability there. It will continue to divide fans when we need to be as united as possible. Smacks of Mowbray simply defying fans to show who’s boss. Quote

I can’t think of a decision that he has made since he got us promoted that has been successful. Including the Charlton line up away in 2018. Completely agree it's getting closer. Just wondering, what is your level of optimism the next Venkys roll of the dice will be better? Think I'd have already reached 'fire him' point if that grim spectre wasn't looming. I did for a while in that awful run after Jan. I don't know how much more of these lineups and results I can take before I shake that grim spectre's ethereal hand though. Quote
ChrisPriceBaldSpot Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I reckon we are going 4-4-2 diamond with DG and SG up top. Quote
Roverinbelfast Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Certainly the slowest team TM coyld have picked, with little creativity. Back to basics and hope Dack and Graham can get us a win is the game plan i presume. COYB Quote

LDRover Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 The lad Gallagher is shite and 5 million worth of shite too. Quite how Mowbray saw fit to waste pretty much the whole budget on him (and Brereton beforehand) baffles me and now he shunts him on the wing as his ineffectiveness has become so apparent at the expense of a game changer in Rothwell. His time has been up for a while, just hope there is someone at the club who will pull the trigger before we're too deep in the shit. 4 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted August 17, 2019 Backroom Posted August 17, 2019 I privately believe that a condition of releasing the money for SG was that he had to play if fit. After last year's Brereton fiasco you couldn't really blame the owners for stipulating this. 1 Quote
Hasta Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 With no Armstrong, Chapman or Rothwell, that side looks very pedestrian to me. 1 Quote

OJRovers Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 £5m would have bought a top quality championship winger. Quote
Tugay's Right Foot Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Wow just wow. Sticking with Gally on the right and Bennett. What must Rothwell think. Fingers crossed. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted August 17, 2019 Backroom Posted August 17, 2019 Also Rothwell should be instructing his agent to get him out of here asap. 3 Quote

Tugay's Right Foot Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 At least we have the Dack-Graham part. With Travis and Johnson there, could be a battle for a deflated Boro. Let’s hope they don’t come down our right. 1 Quote

GunnerRover7 Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Mulgrew not even on the bench for Wiggin vs Bielsa's Barmy Army Quote

Dropping Armstrong opens this up : -------------------------Walton Bennett-----Lenihan----Wiilliams----Cunninghan -------------------------Johnson --------------Travis---------------Downing ---------------------------Dack --------------Gallagher-------Graham or actually we could line up 3412 : --------------------------Walton ------Lenihan-----Williams----Cunninghan Bennett----Travis------Johnson----Downing ----------------------------Dack --------------Gallagher-------Graham. I think given the players we have we will be shifting to two up top at some point. 1 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 A win and mowbray buys some time, a draw and there is still uncertainty, a loss and the crowd turns and he is on thin ice, a loss by more than two- untenable and has to go tonight Quote
Dan Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 So Rothwell and Armstrong will be brought on after 60 minutes when we are chasing the game? We’ll huff and puff in the first half and have a bit of the ball, but not create anything of note and then Middlesborough will score. Same script as usual. 1 Quote
