rovers11 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Think we’ll win tonight. Hull are no great shakes and have had a new manager bounce at the start of the season. We tend to do well away at Hull so I’m going for 2-1. We need more pace in the side tonight than on Saturday as we need a more counter attacking game here. Quote

Bigdoggsteel Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Bowen up against Cunningham should be interesting. I am more confident than if Bell was there. Bowen is a good player though.... Quote
OJRovers Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 If we try to play like Barcelona then we've got no chance. Stick to our strengths and get Dack into the game. Quote
oldjamfan1 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 An unchanged team and Hull 1 Rovers 3. Bowen for them and Dack, Graham and Gallagher for us. Quote

JacknOry Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 TM has beaten Hull more times than any other team as manager. Draw would be decent but I think we might just nick something here if Dack and DG are on the field. Quote
Riverside under the drip Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 I'm here but no-one else is! 9 people in away bar. Should be a cracking atmosphere... 1 Quote

I'd guess Gallagher will start up top and we will try to do what we were trying to do against Fulham, although Danny did get taken off early on Saturday so it's possible. Last season we played very well there with Armstrong getting a rare start as striker and they were quite poor. It's gonna be a close game no doubt but hard to see us beating them for the third time in a row if we do it will be a really good sign that we can do better this season and give us confidence for the Cardiff game. Hopefully, Johnson is able to play most games and doesn't get leggy, he's a good footballer as well as a gritty one and he really ought to be giving the rest of the team lessons in how to time headers because he is outstanding at it. I think if we'd have had him and Travis in the middle during Bowyer's time we would have actually made the top 6. Easily. I'll go one further and say we would probably have got automatic promotion. 1 Quote

Disappointed for Graham but eager to see how Armstrong is on his own. My only problem with him is his end product. We will see. Come on the boys! Quote

Think that way around seems better suited personally. 1 Quote

Good player and dangerous Mr Groscicki was on the verge of signing for us, prior to signing for Hull. Allegedly, we were asked by his agent to clear gambling debts of c. £400k as part of the transfer arrangements, which we declined to do .... Quote
roversfan99 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Dont agree with Graham being dropped. Hopefully its Downing left, Armstrong right and Gallagher up front. 2 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) 3-1 Rovers. Dack first goalscorer Armstrong caused Hull massive problems last season away up front.. Edited August 20, 2019 by chaddyrovers Quote
Gary C Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Well we can always bring Danny Graham on. Dont agree with him being on bench though Quote

OldEwoodBlue Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Dropping Graham - Ridiculous. Hope Tony realises this is a MUST WIN GAME ! Quote
callumrovers Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Does anyone know the last time Rovers won when live on Skysports main event? Quote

lsp82 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 For those overseas the game is on Bein Sports 12. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted August 20, 2019 Backroom Posted August 20, 2019 Assuming Graham is probably being rested due to the short amount of time between games. I wouldn't have personally. Lol @ Armstrong being ahead of Rothwell in the pecking order but no surprise there. Am convinced Gallagher has to be picked so he'll be in the team no matter what. Quote
roversfan99 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Graham proved a few times last season that he CAN play the vast majority of minutes in a 3 game week. 1 Quote
