SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 As good a 0-1 win and performance as you are likely to see all season...great result. 3 Quote
Ewood Ace Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 The penalty save has certainly done wonders for Walton. He looked much more confident and authoritative after it. 2 Quote
imy9 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Brilliant, just brilliant. Saturday we need to play Williams at LB, Bell should be nowhere that first 11. 1 Quote
Displaced Rover Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) Great performance. William's, I'm so sorry I've given you so much shit, clearly you've always been a very solid CB shoehorned at FB Edited August 20, 2019 by Displaced Rover 8 Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted August 20, 2019 Backroom Posted August 20, 2019 Only watched the last 10mins (got in from work), and I'm wondering what we've put in Williams' Readybrek. Absolutely dominant at the back. 1 Quote

It's not perfect but sediment worth persurveering with Letting the opposition get round the back of our defence umpteen times in the first 30 mins is not a pattern you want to see every game. Cunningham shows the difference a solid full back makes. Mowbray needs to sort out the right back position now. Good win though. Unexpected. 1 Quote

Don Said Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Buzzing. Proper away performance, composed until the last minute, much better than last season. COYB. Quote
Husky Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Hull are our new "Can we play you every week" team ? 1 Quote
Pedro Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Superb result. Deserved that IMO. Back to back clean sheets for King Degsie 1 Quote
tomphil Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Williams best game in a Rovers shirt looks so much more comfortable at centre half and him and Darragh suit each other both solid which is what you need in this division. AS for Downing, obvious class on the ball a risky signing but looks like paying off. Up and running now hopefully, thought it would be a handy point tonight but great win. ! 5 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted August 20, 2019 Backroom Posted August 20, 2019 What a bloody win that is, perfect away performance 1 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Hull were awful in that second half. We played some good football on that last 45. Very happy! Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Can’t believe I’m typing this but..... Man of the Match = Derrick Williams 7 Quote
Ewood Ace Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) I must say and it is not something that you say very often in English football but the ref tonight was excellent. Edited August 20, 2019 by Ewood Ace 6 Quote
AAK Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Best performance ive seen under mowbray that. Game management and intent, different from what ive ever seen, attack and attack is our best quality. However defence is so much better, willams as most of us knew, is so much better at CB. Downinf has been terrific this season, hes such a good player. 1 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Hahaha the Sky commentator describng why Downing should be MOTM just as Williams demonstrates why he should be. (Not that Downing wasn't class as well) 1 Quote
