Mattyblue Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Yet they were only a couple of years away from the TV deals going stratospheric, and PL club values with it. Bloody fools, but I suppose there’s some pleasure to be taken in the fact they missed out on the gravy train. 5

I very much doubt that too - unless they get bonuses for breathing and blinking ? I still think people are underestimating. Do we know the total wages? They were cut down to about £16m a couple of years ago. Divide that by 30 (safely say 30 are on decent contracts) and that comes out approximately 11k each. Some will be on more, some less. By that logic (330k/week), with just those 3 players on 20k each (60k), the other 27 have to be on no more than 10k each (270k). I don't reckon the PL-playing likes of Evans, Bennett, Holtby, Downing, Gallagher are on so little? I think our highest earners will be on about 15k/week, with a more even spread of wages around the 5-10k mark for the rest of the squad. Anyone have access to the squad wages on FM20? Those games tend to start with accurate wages. Edit: found them. Look plausible to me: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-2020/team/612/blackburn-rovers Edited January 22, 2020 by Mike E 2

Not really, being linked with someone means very little. Most transfer rumours are a load of bollocks. Indeed the articles regarding Curtis etc have been followed by a narrative of not being affordable with the managee saying we are nowhere near affording these players!

We know it clearly isn't - it's much less. I agree, Downing, Holtby, Gallagher etc. will be on more, again I reckon around 15-20k. Again, I think Chapman will safely be on around 8-10k with him being a first team squad player and nothing suggests otherwise to me. Wasn't Rhodes on forty odd grand a week (before bonuses) not so long ago?

Dreams of 1995 Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Wow. I know they’re academy lads but how on earth is Nyambe and Travis propping that list up? Gallagher needs to earn his money. Johnson needs to fuck off. The rest is as expected really, except for Davenport and Chapman who are both stealing a living at this club right now. We will lose Travis soon to better wages if we don’t bring him in line with the rest. In my eyes Travis is one of the first names on the team sheet every week 2
