Atsu is a poor player, seen him numerous times for Newcastle and his end product is non existent.

That being said, everything screams of a window that will almost certainly and inevitably end with the usual script and platitudes but no one in.

No, he wasn't. Had a stigma here form day 1 because an unpopular manager signed him from the lower leagues.

Yeah, Keith Andrews was nowhere near useless. He wasn't great but he automatically became a scapegoat for a lot of fans.

Liam Feeney hasn't played more than 50 premier League games in the last 2 seasons.

I don’t think he’s played one to be fair ?

Looked like he had a bit of pace from his YouTube highlights. If anything he looks like he's lost a yard of pace since he signed.

Andrews the jump was far too big at the time. He was signed because he was Inces mate but his style never fit what we had. Not the Prem either really.

Handy squad man but was being paid 3 times above his bracket. No hate for him it was just one of those wrong player wrong club jobs. Did some decent graft for a few clubs after.

Was better than Jason Lowe anyday of the week though that isn't the highest of praise.

That hair though ! Very wrong.

Disagree. Played many good games for Ireland CM. Played at the European championships.

Arrived at Rovers at a time when ,to be fair, we were used to better players. Signed by an unpopular manager and was disliked from day 1.

Big Sam picked him. Played either premier League or championship after leaving here. He had a decent career.

Anyway, that's enough about him. I can't watch him as a pundit, accent does my head in.

Omg! I’m agreeing with you Big Dog.

He was an ideal squad player, never complained, technically poor but always worked hard the type you build from if your newly promoted. The pointing was made out worse than it was!

Never spoken badly either about us and is a good pundit when gets a gig. Fashion sense is horrendous

Clumsy! Almost a dads shuffle! Look at his forest and rovers days and his run is completely different. Still if he works his balls off il support him that’s his biggest weakness atm. That said he was responsible for JRC assist at Sheff weds and tried getting forwards.

Needs a loan today

In fairness we were just used to better players then. A lot of good managers trusted him.

There's a surprise.

Initial reaction from Toon fans on Twitter seems to be that they're disappointed they haven't been able to offload him.

All pace no brains. Best I could say is a very poor Bolasie. He dosent know what he’s doing, can’t cross for toffee but can actually dribble. He’s a strange type I remember coughing when they got him at 6 million!

Ya, I think he realised that the move here really made his career

Newcastle. Asking for Atsu wages in full before loaning. All the best with that one.

Might as well rule that out now then. Next.

Much like accepting the first offer you get you don’t so no surprises there. If lad and agent kicks a fuss up he could go? How longs left on his contract and is this a good shop window is there a clause to have say a number of starts to give him a platform for NUFC to sell?

I can see both sides of the argument on this. You're right with what you say above but at the same time he wasn't particularly good either.

That said, I wouldn't have said he was particularly any worse than other dollopers we've had like Lowe and Evans. Maybe Evans isn't "Lowe Mark 2" maybe the latter 2 are "Andrews Marks 2 and  3" !

I'd sooner just leave it than meet Newcastle's demands and be shelling out £700,000 on a winger that they're happy to get rid of.

just had a call from a very reliable source that mowbray got on the team bus last, having settled  what looked like a serious argument between at  least six of the squad, there was pushing, shoving and what looked like aggro before tony stepped in and settled issues with some stern finger wagging,no names disclosed as my source wants to remain undercover

Keith Andrews would have looked like Roy Keane during the Lowe, Akpan, Guthrie, Evans era.

I think it was just because we were an established top flight side at the time, and Keith Andrews wasn't a top flight player IMO.

Porto, Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle, Malaga, 10 goals for Ghana in 62 appearances... I've seen tiny bits of Atsu when I've passively watched him play for Nuke on TV, so I don't profess to know much, but he surely can't be as bad as some are making out, can he?

Of course not

Well it was a jump! And pay and Incey who’s not done that in your own careers. He never disgraced, maybe a poor player for a regular side in the PL but always grafted.

Didnt WBA get him off us still in the premier and he went to some decent championship sides chasing for promotion. His best knack totally away from us but everywhere else was he could score goals arriving late.

Was a poor mans Steve Sidwell. That type of player.
