We’ve not seen nyambe for ages have a good run in the team so I don’t know how you fathom that out.  Nyambes international manager thinks he’s decent, he made him captain.

if I were Ryan I’d be off in January and there will he loads of takers.  Flip that round and there would be no takers for Bennett as a right back or defensive specialist.

I agree that other clubs will see the potential in Nyambe, weren't Preston sniffing around a year or two back ?

It was driving me mad seeing Bennett in acres of space but not carrying the ball and whipping a ball in. His deliveries are awful, to the point that Luton didn't even mark him. Chapman or Rothwell would have had a field day yesterday.

Bringing Samuel on as a pretend winger sums Mowbray up. Ever since he's been here, he is obsessed with playing people out of position. He loves seeing past the necessary and just stuffing a striker out wide. Also, I cannot think of a Rovers side that lacks effort and intensity in the last 10/15mins as this lame lot. I honestly now look forward to the day he is moved on because we have the personnel to mix it with almost anyone in this league and should get in the playoffs but we have absolutely no chance of doing it under him.

The " elephant in the room " is who would these idiots replace him with. If I heard Chris Hughton was coming in I'd be reasonably happy.

The referee was half the story. He failed in his duties to prevent time wasting.

His decision to issue a yellow card in the 94th minute for time wasting was a disgrace. They took more time on many, many earlier throws and goal kicks yet all he did was wave his arm. Then when protected by a lack of time remaining and to try and shield himself from criticism he issues a yellow for timewasting. Coward.

But the other side to the story is our ineffectiveness in the final 3rd. We could have played all night and we probably wouldn't have scored. Same with Charlton earlier this season. Possession on the halfway line is meaningless.

Not sure that the referee is to blame and Arbitro's opinion would be valuable. I have the opinion that referees have instructions to try and hurry matters up by pointing out that time will be added and only resort to booking people to prevent potential flare ups. It could be he was simply following instructions on game management. Whether those instructions are adequate is a different matter. Can't help but feel no matter what the authorities do managers find way of defeating laudable aims. In recent months Lambert was sent off, for confrontation with a goalkeeping coach and a performance coach, Parkinson for confrontation with half the Leeds back room staff and Bowyer when an unidentified Birmingham coach deliberately halted play in injury time by throwing a ball on the field. In every case the manager just sat there grinning and it appears to me that since the rules on sending off managers have been introduced managers send out their staff to achieve their objective. I might have pointed out that all three opposing managers were foreign but then you have the case of the Burnley goalkeeping coach abusing Sarri throughout the game and when Mowbray decided to teach the Sheffield ball boy life affirming advice, who was on the touchline mouthing off, Ben Benson. Why is there suddenly an increase in back room staff getting involved if it is not to make the referee's position difficult. My biggest criticism of the referee was that after Tunnicliffe was caught by Bennett he immediately set off to get retribution against anybody which he duly did. The referee saw it clearly but did nothing. Surely deliberately attempting to hurt an opponent should produce some sanction. Time wasting has become endemic and it appears to me that referees control it by adding time on. Goalkeepers routinely make clean catches of the ball with no-one around and then drop to the floor. To my mind this should be dealt with as ungentlemanly conduct or does that rule still exist.

Had the Luton players not charged over and confronted the linesman yesterday the goal would have been given.

Whilst ultimately the correct decision was arrived at, what we learnt from that incident was if you think the decision is wrong then charge across, get in his face and have a go at the official. It may prompt them to discuss it and reconsider.

Had Luton just 'accepted' the officials decision it was 2-2

Officials let the time wasting go on to long, admittedly, but for me the goal was offside and most decisions weren't far off. No way at all we could sit here and blame the refs for that one. To be playing the ball around the back four from the second we went 2-1 would've been bad enough, but at 90+ minutes, to be fucking around at the back and not just lumping it forward is dismal.

Why do we have to play this stupid possession based game? We didn't play this way at Reading, or Hull? Why is it that every team now thinks they have to play like Pep's Man City to look attractive.

We'd have all took a 1-0 win and lumping the ball to Danny Graham all day. Surely its results over "a style of play".

Something i agree with you on

For all those saying the final ball was terrible and criticising the wide men should look at what they had to aim at. The number of times in the first half Downing got the ball and looked and saw no one to aim at was shocking. So he turned and laid the ball off to Elliott who slung the ball in regardless. SG was hiding full stop end of story. It was like Ashley Ward was here again. He never once tried to get in front of the centre half. I know I'll get criticism for this but yesterday the forward we could of done with was Nuttall. For all his faults he knew what to do in the penalty box and where the back of the net was.

I noticed Chaddy was having a dig at Graham again saying he was poor but by the time he came on, Rovers approach play had become desperate and Luton had realised we had run out of ideas. There was no movement.

On the left Armstrong is so frustrating the number of times he choose the wrong option was farcical.

By the way, I was sat in the top tier of the Blackburn End with our scout troop rather than my usual seat in the Riverside. After ten minutes into the 2nd half the kids were bored to death. Some over troops left early they were so bored. Not saying Mowbray's tactics are juvenille but one of out cubs, aged 9, predicted his subs so no wonder the opponents can work it out.

And yes Stuart the tickets were free in the Blackburn End Top Tier but after yesterday's performance I be amazed if many kids would want to return!

Not sure myself, the linesman stood on the spot rather than heading back to halfway and put his hand to his ear piece.

From the JW lower I wasn’t sure if a rovers player got a touch or the keeper and I imagine the Lino was asking the same

He's playing Bennett because he's now his lieutenant in the dressing room and i'd suggest he needed one after easing out Mulgrew.  He had an obsession with Samuel all the time before he was injured and although it's good to see him back fit it's 100% typical nice guy Tony to involve him as soon as he could.

He's a player who never made any difference before so he's not going to now never mind the nailed on fact he can't play right wing. It's getting ridiculous now he spends millions on non scoring strikers yet tries to patch up the defence with moving people about and loans then wonders why we keep getting undone conceeding the same type of goals and not being strong enough to notch enough upfront in tight games.

Keeps playing, returning to, doing the same thing over and over with his favs etc, this nice guy act has gone on long enough now !

That was one decision they got right and the AR followed the correct process. I sit in the JW Upper and I saw a Rovers player in an offside position but I didn't know which of the two it was. The AR saw it exactly the same and sought clarification from the referee as to exactly who put the ball in the net. Once they established it was Williams they had to give offside. Although frustrating it was the right decision.

Overall I thought the referee was weak and it was apparent after five minutes what Luton were up to. His flimsy waving of an arm of blowing of his whistle was futile as Luton players took excessive time at nearly every restart. I was embarrassed for him when he saw fit to caution in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Absolutely pointless and ineffective. Over the last few years I've noticed far too many teams getting away with killing the game and referees seem oblivious to it. They have a responsibility to the game to ensure fair play and they are failing in this most basic of duties. I have spoken to a couple of friends who are senior within the PGMO but they don't seem to concerned by it. I tell them that they don't pay hard earned money to watch football and don't have the feeling of being short changed.

I need which case I stand corrected. I think the fact the ref made his way back to the centre circle, and didn't go across until the Luton players went across, made it look worse from the BBE.

What did cause confusion around me was the drop ball given when the the ball hit the ref in the first half. Not many people seemed aware of the new rule.

Has the rule been brought in now that the are no rebounds on penalties or did I just see that as a proposal?

Just seen the goals again. Missing a big bugger at the back big time. As we all said we would.

Would have had one (that is doing well just up the road) had we not told him he would have to fight for a place in the starting eleven of one of the worst defences in the football league (at the time)

I haven't seen anything official about penalty rebounds. I think there was some fake news put out during the summer.

Aye - he’s the man I was pretty much referring to. Del and Lenihan just aren't imposing enough. Tosin needs to start, and I reckon he will on Tuesday.

We are desperately missing a player who can dribble and run at players to create opportunities against weaker opposition such as Luton and Charlton.

We are also missing a greedy selfish type of midfielder who will just shoot from 20-25 yards. OR should TM be encouraging players to shoot near final third instead of passing sideways? We had SO much possession in the final third but kept going sideways, WITHOUT testing their keeper, only 2 shots were Johnson and travis's goal.

TM is 100% failing with a game plan against weaker opponents!

Imagine Damian duff playing in the game yesterday, now he would have created some chances and got the ball onto Gallaghers head!

I wish those crossing the ball would look at who was up front, in the box , rather than slinging in hopeful punts

Frustrated with that performance. Twice we have lost at home to poorer sides this season in front of a semi decent home crowd. Kids attending for the first time yesterday will not be inspired to return.

At times this season we have played with high intensity, tempo and moved the ball well. All we needed to do was produce a performance of that nature. Unfortunately we produced the opposite. Too many players were lethargic yesterday. Dack, Johnson, Gallagher to name but a few.

Ive watched the goals - really poor defending for the first. Cunningham as an international left back has got to read the game better when their lad picks the ball up and get across to stop him. Instead he sticks with his man instead of sensing the danger which is the Luton player running with the ball down the edge of the box. Basic defending. Harsh perhaps to single him out but if he had done his job we don’t concede.

Knowing Rovers we will probably put in a performance against a good Forest team on Tuesday.

I think he would be awful choice thinking of his last 2 years at Brighton where he bought rubbish and played negative football
