G Somerset Rover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 (edited) Sharpe: Team news: One change for #Rovers as Sir Daniel of Grahamshire comes in to the side, Gallagher and Armstrong on the flanks as Downing moves centrally. Travis and Downing centre mid; Johnson seems to be falling out of favour pretty quickly. You just know next game it’ll be Graham out and Gallagher back up top, regardless of tonight’s result. Feed the Yak Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 This will be interesting. On paper a very attacking line up tonight with pace on the wings and the experience of DG to lay the ball off. Could be goals here. Quote
TruRover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 (edited) Poor team, with no balance. Would of played Rothwell dack and Holtby behind graham. Can’t see us getting anything from this. We have two strikers playing in the wide areas. That says it all. Edited October 1, 2019 by TruRover 2 Quote
AAK Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Gallagher and armstrong on the wings lol sounds absolutley awful. 1 Quote
jim mk2 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Tony loves his wide centre forwards. If I were a winger at the club I'd feel insulted. 1 Quote

That’s been Mowbray’s preference since he walked through the door. I can’t wait for the day we play with actual wingers, on the wing. 1 Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I really hope Rothwell comes on and scores the winner. Then runs over to Mowbray and spears him into the tunnel. Please Lord! 2 Quote

Stuart Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Can’t believe Rothwell isn’t starting. And after everything Mowbray said?? Just the usual tombola midfield game after game. Armstrong and Gallagher backed again instead of being asked to get their heads down in training and work hard to get into the starting eleven. Holtby will probably (possibly) be ready by January. 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Jeez. How many players are out of position in that line up. Joke. 1 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Would've liked to see Rothwell in for Arma, as I suspect most of us on here would. Nevertheless, got faith in Tony, it's a decently attacking side. I expect a big response from the disappointment that was Saturday. Quote

AAK Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Just now, Tugay-is-God said: I count four, at most. What am I missing? Gallagher and armstrong arent wingers, bennett isnt a righ back, downing isnt a central midfielder (unless youre tugay you need an engine in the middle). So id agree 4. Although i think its still debateable as to whether lenihan and williams are proper centre backs, but their all weve got. Quote

frosty Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 In what world are Gallagher and Armstrong better options than Rothwell on the wing? 2 Quote
Gogger Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Que Samuel as first sub for Gallagher when we are 2-0 down. Joke that Armstrong and Gallagher (and Samuel, probaly) are ahead of our best winger. Good to see Graham starting though. Quote
