G Somerset Rover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 (edited) What a terrible game of football, we truly are sh*te. I also knew the minute big mouth Mercer opened his gob that this would be a drab affair. Edited October 1, 2019 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! 2 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Think this is primed for Rothwell and Holtby on in the second half. Get a bit of quality on to break down this defense. Quote
SoldierMo Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Thats the problem...rothwell and holtby from start we could have had them in 1st half but cautious Mowbray too fearful as usual Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Fairly solid half after very nearly going behind in the first minute. Downing is impressive, turning out to be a very astute signing. More quality needed - Holtby and Rothwell for Gallagher and A N Other. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Still got a good feeling Rothwell will come on n bag. Quote
LDRover Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Dire stuff and yet another first half where we don't trouble the scoreboard. 1 Quote

We've shown at least something down the left, Armstrong has been bright, but that’s pretty much it. Nothing down the right with Bennett and Gallagher. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted October 1, 2019 Backroom Posted October 1, 2019 Dack comfortably the worst player on the pitch that half he looked drunk! Trav not won anything today after having a brill game at weekend. Arma looks good until he has to do something with it, Gallagher just looks confused and can’t say I’ve noticed Graham A disjointed half with little positive to say. 2 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted October 1, 2019 Backroom Posted October 1, 2019 Would a bookie even take a bet on 0-0 HT at Ewood at this point? Quote

The Gallagher experiment out wide simply has to stop. It’s not just silly, it’s fecking ridiculous. How someone with Mowbray’s experience thinks he does a good job out there I just don’t know. He wouldn’t know a winger if it bit him on the arse. 2 Quote
Gary C Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Dacks been out of sorts. Rothwell coming on would be a positive move for me. Hope Williams comes back out for second half was limping badly towards end Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I didn’t put a bet on but I said all week it would be 0-0. exactly the same as ever. No shots, no excitement, poor delivery, no spark, no creativity, no Rothwell . Getting fed up of it Quote
superniko Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Half Time view: Poor game really, I think we’ve been the better side. Forest just looking to counter. A few half chances but we’re not very entertaining (what’s Tony’s new style of play?) - Sam Gallagher is not a winger, a wasted shirt in the 11 and does not deserve his place - Armstrong is getting a lot of the ball, but has no end product which halts all our creativity. He’s got in a lot of 1 on 1 situations but isn’t skinning the defender. Mowbray be screaming at him to take advantage of that - Dack has been poor, giving the ball away more than normal - Cunningham has been good, big part of the reason Armstrong is seeing so much of the ball. - I think Downing has been fairly solid in the middle too - Nobody in the team can cross a ball. Rothwell for Gallagher I’d leave Armstrong on for a bit and just get him to beat that full back when he has no cover Quote
jim mk2 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Poor stuff from Rovers - totally uninspiring. Where is a goal coming from? . I can see Forest nicking a goal circa 75th min and that will be it 1 Quote
1864roverite Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Gally on the right is NOT working it’s causing us a problem TM needs to change the formation and stop this tippy tappy shit football we are not Man City and he is not pep g?? Quote
Fraserkirky Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Dack has been nothing short of abysmal. Quote
cesus Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Just so frustrating to watch, really struggle to see what Gallagher must do in training to look like he has any ability to play out wide. Dack has been shocking too. Whilst I don’t miss his woeful defending I think we are missing some of Mulgrews set plays! Quote
Blueandwhitemike Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Like others have said, Gallagher has been completely ineffectual out wide, though it would surprise me to see TM making the obvious change with Rothwell coming on. Fairly even game despite us dominating possession. Sow has been good for Forest, Travis not been great, needs to pick up his game second half. Quote
Fraserkirky Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 And if Gallagher tries to cut inside one more time I’m going to lose it Quote
barry_ Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 poor. Our midfield seems to be Travis/Downing. Gallagher disappointing. Forest don't seem much. Probably lose 0 1. Quote
