alexanders Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Hi, I am travelling over from Norway with my dad and younger brother for PNE away. I would appreciate it if anyone who is a ST holder could help me get tickets. Best Regards, Alexander Quote

Sparks Rover Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 You’ll be able to buy no problem. We won’t sell out. Ring the ticket office and explain Quote
Mattyblue Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 By the time it goes on general sale on the 14th there will still be thousands left, so you’ll be fine. Quote
alexanders Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 Thanks for the answers! Really looking forward to it. Haven’t seen a rovers match in 5 years! 7 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Yeap - This won't be a sell out and PNE will walk all over us. Only way for us even close to selling out is if we win all games on the build up. Of course this won't happen either. I predict 3.8k away fans. Quote
Popular Post tomphil Posted October 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 3, 2019 It's a Saturday 3 pm, averagely priced it's the localest derby this season and it's ten mins up the road. No excuses just man up get down there and show some support. If they don't turn in a performance of some description there's the added bonus of thousands giving them a roasting. The yellow streak in some of our fans at times is as bad as any player or manager, boo hoo i'm not going if i don't think it's a nailed on win etc. Derbies are derbies anything can happen there's no excuse for less than 4k for this we always turn out at Bolton on non tv Sat aft games despite their price rip offs down the years. It's about time we turned them over again and we'll be going there as underdogs now so just think if we win and it sends them on a bad run. Be there ! 16 Quote
JHRover Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Preston away should always be a sell out. Given it is nearer to home than Ewood for a large chunk of Rovers fans, reasonable(ish) ticket prices and proper kick off time it will be a very sad sight if we don't sell out. Especially when they will probably bring more to Ewood for the return leg when Waggott rolls out the red carpet treatment to get as many to buy as possible. 1 Quote

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 (edited) It's not the fans we have to worry about its our team being up for it after last seasons debacle! We owe that lot a good hammering. Edited October 3, 2019 by SIMON GARNERS 194 1 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted October 3, 2019 Moderation Lead Posted October 3, 2019 We owe those gimps a good hiding. Let’s hope we deliver, as the fans will do our bit and turn up, let’s hope the players do the same! 2 Quote

Especially with Bolton gone and Wigan being a night game, it’s our only local daytime fixture. But if the results continue to be so so until the game then I would wager we won’t. Crimpshrine Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I think we officially sold out last year but there were tickets for sale at the ground on the day. Worst week of last season 1-4 at PNE followed by a nightmare at Wigan a few days later. Totally embarrassing display last year - fingers crossed it's not a repeat. Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 (edited) I'm sure it was sold out with a week to go last season. One thing is for sure they will be up fired up for the win. Edited October 3, 2019 by SIMON GARNERS 194 1 Quote

But of course, we are expecting a completely different scenario this year! 1 Quote

Never really got the buzz for this fixture, for me it's just Burnley and that's it, all the other 'derbies' Bolton, Preston, Wigan etc are just another game for me, I've got fed up of going to any of them away from home, I prefer travelling a bit further for away games these days. Rogerb Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Appears to be doing a good job does Alex Neil for the Nob enders. Wonder what he would have done with 12M to spend on strikers? 2 Quote
bazza Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 It's 7 miles to Ewood for me, only 4.5 to Deepdale. So I'll be going. I hope it's not going to be like last year. PNE are better, I think, than last year but we have a better squad too. Where is another Barrie Hole when you need him. Perhaps the two Lewis's in midfield will do the trick. 2 Quote

Can I ask Alex if it is common place for Norwegian football fans to adopt small English clubs like rovers and PNE? Quote

The way I see it is you have the giants like Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal etc, and then you have the big clubs like Birmingham City, West Brom, Southampton, Sunderland etc. Then you have medium clubs like Burnley, Ipswich, Hull etc. Then you have small clubs like blackburn, Wigan, Barnsley etc. Small than that you're into the 'minnows' like Rochdale, Accrington, Blackpool etc. Quote
