bluebruce Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 I think the writing is on the wall now for TM. Any other club, even the patient ones, would have sacked him after this performance. I've wanted him gone for a while now, but after a while following Rovers and football in general, you get a feel for when a manager's doom simply isn't going to be reversible and is a matter of time. I feel tonight was that moment (although it was probably always coming to this moment eventually as he isn't up to it). The only question now is when Pune will decide they've had enough. They're highly unpredictable with manager sackings, historically. When they like them, as they clearly do with TM, it takes a lot longer though. Mowbray out. 8 Quote

Ewood Ace Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Absolutely pitiful, if he doesn't get the sack after that then you have to wonder what will. Quote

unleaded Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Don’t worry TM has already started planning to sign more players ! Think he’s deluded big time ... wasted 15 million on 3 strikers who are terrible to say the least .. please sack him before he wastes more money .. side looks totally unbalanced ... 2 Quote

And I won enough money to buy a double cheeseburger after betting against us at 1-0 down. I don't like to do it, but I feel like I need an upside to our inevitable fuckups now. I'm also ludicrously, ludicrously unlucky, so my bets usually fail...but even my bad luck being used on a bet against us couldn't change how shite we were. 1 Quote
Backroom Madon Posted October 22, 2019 Backroom Posted October 22, 2019 The only way Mowbray is going is if he walks. No way on this earth is Waggott going to sack him. I wonder if Pasha has learnt enough about the game to realise we're shite? 2 Quote

benhben Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) 1 shot on target against a team that have lost 4 out of 5. Not good enough. It's not been good enough for 12 months. Poor transfers, worse tactics and player selection based on who's his mate. Needs to go. Doubt the venkys were even watching. Please dont turn into a Keane/Coyle scenario Were also in a situation where weve got a very promising youth side. TM is not the man to develop them. Edited October 22, 2019 by benhben Quote
Proudtobeblue&white Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Can't wait for the absolute drivel TM will come out with........wait, breaking news.......I can. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 a team that can`t score and can`t defend added to a dodgy goalkeeper is only going one way,it`s only our home form that might save us Quote
RV Blue Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 I can’t remember being as numb regarding Rovers, the worst feeling you can have as a football fan. Got to go Mowbray. 2 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Everyone wants him gone now, on here and Twitter, is it close though? I don’t think he can turn this round even with a few results, damage done and it’s time 1 Quote

Butty Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) 15 million spent on forwards who can’t hit a barn door. Mediocre right winger shoehorned into the side at full back. Defence that’s needed strengthening since we got promoted from league one and still leaks goals for fun. Thanks for everything Tony but your time is up now. EDIT: And all our players can stop doing f**king interviews about going for the top 6 and “looking up” the league now. There’s not a chance in hell we are making the playoffs this season. Owners backed him, money was there to spend in summer, failure to address the WORST defensive record in league last year is now costing us! You build from the back, just like Mark Hughes did. We have SO many talented players in Dack, Holtby and Rothwell but lack balance, lack natural wingers, no LB cover, no CB cover, no RB cover 3 Quote
JacknOry Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 You just have to cut it all back. You got strikers as wingers and midielders playing as LB. I mean?????? Yes, he can bemoan some injuries but even when a full fit squad its the same. Round pegs in square holes. And besides, two windows in a row you have gambled with an injury prone defense Mr Mowbray and both times you have been caught out much like most of your managerial career it might be said). Lets wait for his post-Blackburn interview when he says he wished he bought that bruiser of a CB like he did in his last 35 jobs. 4 Quote

Think of the talent we could of got with a proper manager. His unfair comments on the younger players and our better players. Reed, Rothwell etc. His loyalties to his buddies. People can't forget any of the above. I've never rated Mowbray. He's history and has been for 2 seasons. Edited October 22, 2019 by BankEnd Rover 2 Quote
