Husky Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 The ref's been terrible for the last 10mins. 1 Quote

They need more high intensity training. 2 Quote

Stoke fans booing their team off the pitch at half-time, but I think we need some tweaks to keep things solid and continue frustrating them. Stoke are poor, but we can't keep relying on a few players bailing us out for another 45 minutes. I'd put Holtby on for Rothwell at half time. I like Rothwell a lot, but he's walking around out there. Quote
tomphil Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 This HT team talk and whatever changes he might implement need to be spot on in the game we'll be under the cosh in the 2nd half. Need a smash and grab 2nd and the game will be ours. No subs just to be generous today please, get it right. 1 Quote

Yeap I'm his biggest fan but Holtby on sounds a good plan. Shame for Rothwell. This maybe Tonya excuse for dropping him for the next 10 games. Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Evans player of the half by a mile, making some crucial interceptions. Rothwell has been useless, headless chicken runs into traffic first 20 mins, looked knackered from then on. I have to say I’m liking Downing’s pinpoint corners more than Charlie’s circus trick shots. 2 Quote
Ossydave Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Wouldn't be surprised if Rothwell is a bit under the weather like half the UK, surely he can't be THAT unfit to struggle to see 45 minutes out 1 Quote
philipl Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Crikey, we are so poor we lost at home to Luton who are being tanked 5-0 at half time. 1 Quote

rovers11 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 (edited) We just about deserve to be leading. The players look so unfit though, Rothwell in particular. Stoke look woeful, relying on hoof ball. Edited November 30, 2019 by rovers11 Quote

Charlton got tubbed at home as well earlier, albeit with a fair old injury list. We didn't deserve to lose either game tbf despite playing shite. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 mowbray should be telling them in no uncertain terms that stoke will not be as bad in the 2nd half 2 Quote
lraC Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Agree with Evans having a good game. Tosin looking very good too and for my money, our stand out player so far. Holtby for Rothwell at Half Time, as he is on his arse for me. Quote

Armstrong has looked good, but his decision making at crucial moments is extremely frustrating. Quote
tomphil Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Not sure they look unfit because they genuinely are i think it's just we play such a pedestrian game normally you'd presume that's how they train. Then the other night they play at a higher intensity for 90 odd mins so are naturally unused to it so still look leggy a few days later. Train as you aim to play is the key, same under Bowyer that's why we only ever got or will get one big performance every 5 or 6 games. Higher levels needed to get anywhere similar to the recruitment of the right types. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted November 30, 2019 Backroom Posted November 30, 2019 Luton 5 down to Brentford and Hudds being beaten 4-1 by Bristol City... The new manager bounce for them appears to be at an end! Quote
Pedro Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Very poor performance so far. Evans has been class. The ref is shite. Benno on. He'll put the yards in for sure 3 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 (edited) So 2 games in 4 days is showing. Rothwell knackered. Graham knackered. Hanging on here. Edited November 30, 2019 by Exiled_Rover Quote
philipl Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Dack conceding a corner says everything about the game balance now. Will be lucky to get a point out of this. Fitness coaches need firing. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 No efforts at all from us, since taking the lead in the 13th min. Quote
