Bigdoggsteel Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Better second half. Pity Grahams header didnt go in! Very nervy. Evan's was poor, William's gave it away too much as well. Quote

CambridgeRover Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Just seen the difference between a playoff team and a mid table club. Mental weak and tactically poor 1 Quote
Mr. E Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 If you don't laugh you'll cry. TM had no answer - absolutely none - to a team packing men behind the ball and playing on the counter. Some bad luck/very bad games by a number of individuals, yes, but tactically we simply crashed head first into a brick wall. Something you could see coming 100 miles away, but again, no answer to the challenge at all. 3 Quote
Ricky Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 There you go Mercer. Wish you’d stop with your fucking shit predictions!! 7 Quote

des Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Well it's not often this is said when playing at home but that's one point won rather then two points lost that how bad we played, we need wingers if we want to play wide and midfield players who can attack and defend 2 Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 No idea how that finished 0-0. Not good enough tonight but one point closer to the play offs, all places up for grabs for the Brum game. Thought Wigan were decent, much better than their league position suggests and can see how they got a point at West Brom. Quote

Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Very disappointing performance, their first clean sheet in 33 away games. Says it all. Quote
AdamRochina Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 our backline should be fucking fired, playing it out of the back at times like they did and literally cost us possession at times, lucky wigan are piss poor otherwise they would of punished it! nyambe as good as he is bombing forwards i dont think i saw him beat his man at all today, everyone looked so uncomfortable on the ball like they didn't have time on it even when they did, just hack it away overall performance was shambolic and if we made it to the playoffs we would get mauled Quote
Amo Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 A really disappointing (but all too predictable) performance that will be overshadowed by Dack's injury. That's probably put paid to our faint hopes of a playoff push. It's shocking how much we missed Tosin at the back. Lenihan and Williams' distribution is L1 standard. 2 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Thought downing was terrible , didn’t find a Blackburn player all game, lenihan very lacklustre at times, as was Williams but he saved lenihan bacon second half. Graham was spent. Armstrong terrible. Travis didn’t offer anything really. Nyambe wasted good positions. Rothwell glimpses but not enough. Johnson looked decent when he came on, should’ve started. Walton very assuresd. Dack injury a nightmare. Terrible terrible night. Merry Xmas to all my fellow rovers 2 Quote
AdamRochina Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 i also dont think dacks injury will cost us as much as people think, i think in rothwell and holtby we have two excellent players who will link up really well with Gallagher up top and we will look so much more mobile 3 Quote
oozy Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) Hindsight is a great thing but 7 changes were too many. Really missed Tosin Need to find a space for Holtby in the team, even if Dack's injury is not too bad Johnson should have been in from the start Edited December 23, 2019 by oozy Quote
neophox Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Poor showing today, need to step up against BIrmingham. Take the Point and go again on thursday. 1 Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 This was never going to be pretty. Shouldn’t have risked our playmakers. Hoof ball to big boys would have been more effective. If these injuries are dodgy the team will pick itself for Birmingham. Quote
Husky Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Tosin is our new can't play without player. And he's not even ours. Worrying times for those of us with any upwards aspirations. 2 Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Hindsight is great, but maybe Bell and Johnson shout have started. Any news on Dack? Quote
neophox Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 We seem to be poor when we meet teams lower in the table, Luton, Charlton, Hudds and Wigan. 1 Quote

Defence looked very unsettled and hardly made a decent pass all game. Did Williams pass to a Rovers player in the whole game? Great block from him near the end though. Very pedestrian, very predictable, terrible apart from the last 20 minutes when we suddenly realised there were 3 points at stake! Agree on Nyambe and Armstrong was worse. Not his position. 1 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Standard result against a lower team. We will get a result against brummies. Excited for Holtby & Rothwell. Quote
Vinjay Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 While I'm no physiotherapist Dack was clutching his kneecap. ACL is at the back of the knee. Quote
davefarnworth Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Never go up with Mowbray in charge. Morsay's a lucky bloke. Hate Julie commentating btw Quote
Backroom Tom Posted December 23, 2019 Backroom Posted December 23, 2019 Ah the familiar feeling of deflation. At kick off there was a buzz around, anticipation in the air, that was gone by 15 minutes. Nobody did well in an attacking sense, Nyambe our main avenue of attack and he wasn’t on form himself. For some reason our first instinct today seemed to be to turn back, we must have got away with 3-4 suicidal passes at the back. A word on the ref and the Wigan fans, both small league shithouses and they should disappear back there asap. With all that said ignore me and ignore this post as I clearly know nothing about football as I thought ‘Man of the Match’ Travis was among the worst of a bad bunch. Still we didn’t have to deal with seeing them celebrate a winner and they are still going down so that’s nice Quote
