Blackpool_Rover Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 No need for the negativity (twitter is full of it). It wasn't a terrible performance it's just Wigan were excellent and stopped us playing. Both teams had chances to win at the end but it was a decent and fair point. Quote

Amo Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Walton was MOTM. Far from convinced he's our No. 1 but this could've been a lot worse if not for two smart saves. 3 Quote

oozy Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 We can't be too downhearted. Wigan have drawn 4 of their last 6, against good teams in us, West Brom, Huddersfield and Millwall. They are almost like us in that they have lost to poor teams in Luton and Reading. 1 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Travis MOTM was a joke. He had one good move - the rest he was anonymous - giving Evans(?) far too much space to dictate, while his passing and attacking instincts seem to have regressed. Much better needed all round on Boxing Day. 1 Quote

Doug Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) Picking a team to play a derby match you need your battlers and pressers, Armstrong, Graham, Rothwell, Dack are not the players to pick in the same ream. No legs! Gallagher and Holtby had to start. Edited December 23, 2019 by Doug 1 Quote

jim mk2 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Rubbish performance and result but predicted by me and few others. Wigan by far the better side and should have won Made some money on the contra Mercer bet though He hasn’t got a clue about football 2 Quote

Fraserkirky Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) Thought Dack was useless before his injury, not for the first time this season. Will miss his goals, but from general play not so much, we looked far better last week going forward as a 4-4-2 with Holtby and Rothwell as the wide players. Im sure Travis was embarrassed with the man of the match award, he was really bad tonight. I would just not have bothered with it tonight. Need some new players. Credit to Wigan, see much worse sides this year at Ewood. Edited December 23, 2019 by Fraserkirky Quote
J*B Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Not enough players willing to step forward and make a difference in a game for me. Hitting it long to DG didn’t work from the first minute, someone needed to move the ball forwards and make an impact. Disappointing, but the reality they’re not quite good enough to challenge the top 6. Quote
CharlesBronson Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 I was there.. Wigan battled like hell.. very difficult game.. will take point happily. 2 Quote

Sometimes there's a noticeable improvement in such cases. That said their performance was nothing special. 1 Quote
