Known as "The ghost", Alf Ramsey could see something in him that we supporters couldn't at the time. Of course, Alf knew better.

Another great player (and person by all accounts) passing away. He was so graceful and he seemed to glide around the pitch.I

RIP.

Possibly. Though I'm pretty sure that 99% of people with Alzheimer's haven't ever headed a ball.

The truth is that doctors and so-called experts still haven't got a clue.

I tried to identify the past players on the pitch before the Spurs v Chelsea game and only got Pat Jennings and Ossie Ardiles. Can anyone help with the rest, especially the chap nearest the camera?

RIP Martin Peters.

A class player who I saw at Ewood.

I don't think Peters was a noted ''header'' of the ball.

Only those of us who played with that sort of ball know how heavy it got when wet.

I think that was Martin Chivers  if memory serves. Clive Allen was also there and Chris Hughton too.
