Why would anyone not be confident about today!? @Chaddyrovers - what my thoughts or predictions are can have no bearing at all on the Rovers' result. Never heard such nonsense! Did you miss the Charlton, Luton, Barnsley and Wigan matches? It's obvious why people wouldn't be confident about our chances today as we continue to struggle against teams in poor form some way below us in the table. 1 Quote

Agree - stay positive and get behind the team. Any negativity will feed through to the team. Four games in 9 days needs to be managed, we need to be twelfth man. Lets drum up as much as we can! tomphil Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 After years of supporting Rovers we should all know by now there is no such thing as a home banker at Ewood. 1 Quote

From Rovers Prem years backwards Boxing Day home games used to be nailed on for a win. I think that the trepidation is warranted though. I watched about half an hour of the Wigan game. It was poor. It should be an easy win. Let's hope for one. Quote

I think he might surprise us a little too - he’s generally played wide or deeper, and thus I reckon that might the position he kicks on in. Who would press the Brum back line more? Ben or Arma? Quote

Wegerleswiggle Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 This is how I would line up today. The 3 behind Gallagher all able to switch positions. Gutted about the absence of Dack but I think with Arma, Holtby and Rothwell playing we will still cause problems. My only worry now is if we get an injury to one of those 3, which is why I would be keen to get Brewster from Liverpool. Quote

Miker Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Not really sure what lineup to expect. Players seriously underperformed last match, so I can see a lot of changes. Bell, Johnson, Holtby, Gallagher were all excellent against Bristol so wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the starting 11. 1 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Downing could’ve stepped straight out of a Brylcreem ad - a proper footballer 3 Quote
Stuart Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Bell starting. Let’s hope it’s the new Bell and not the old one. Quote

Feed the Yak Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 I've got a feeling that this side can open up the Birmingham defence. Wonder if Buckley will be central with Johnson or out wide with Bennett in the middle? Fancy Gallagher to score. Shame Tosin isn't fit, he's been right up there as one of our best recently. 3-1 Rovers. Quote
MarkBRFC Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Buckley in the "Dack" role. I've got a feeling now that Dack is injured, it's going to take another 6 weeks of rotating everyone around until we find our "best team" again. 1 Quote

I froze my bollocks off watching us play the bottom of the table team the other night ? It was dull as dishwater. I'm relaxed though. Dack and Rothwell weren't really at it before the former got injured so preparing to play without them today could yield a surprise or two. Also pleased Johnson and Holtby both starting - they did their bit in lifting some spirits against Wigan. Edited December 26, 2019 by CD_93 Quote
yoda's brother Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 not sure i can be bothered to go now Quote
LDRover Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 I've no idea what the management see in Buckley but I hope to be proved wrong. That side is a damning indictment of how they view our 7 million pound marquee signing though. What a dropped bollock that was. 3 Quote
