frosty Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 Brilliant that. Shame the opportunity to accumulate more points over the last decade was thrown away so needlessly, but looking forward to the day we’re back (it’ll happen one day, right....?). 2 Quote
Wegerleswiggle Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 I think my screen is faulty as I didn't see Burnley up there???? Quote

If the owners wanted to deliberately relegate the club in 2012, they could hardly have acted differently. Same again in 2016... 3 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 Another one... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_clubs_in_England_by_competitive_honours_won Burnley,Preston,Bolton..... Quote
mhead Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 MOST SUCCESSFUL TOWN CLUB IN THE WORLD! Should be all over the Ground. Recently we had figures for Clubs supplying England players.....we were 9th and very close to 6th. 6 Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted January 7, 2020 Backroom Posted January 7, 2020 Still the only English club to win major domestic trophies in 3 different centuries. 6 Quote
davulsukur Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Fantastic to see that, thanks. Still, it's a bit sad that we are now probably one of the least ambitious clubs in football. 1 Quote
Boroblue Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 This has no real contribution but doesn’t it make you feel proud Quote
McClarky Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Just shows what a huge contributions Rovers have made over 130 years, very proud. Most surprising thing about this is the extent to which English football is dominated for most of it’s history by 3 clubs, Everton, Villa and Sunderland. It’s only in the post 1970 era that they have slipped back and been replaced by the teams we now regard as the giants. Interesting. I was always aware that these had been huge clubs but npt to this extent. Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Bet Everton wish they’d have carried on paying that rent at Anfield... Quote
