yeti-dog Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Don't get this suggestion that a win today would be 'defying the odds' given that we're 8 points and 13 goals better than Middlesbrough at the moment. We need to go there with no fear, grab a win and then seriously start to believe that we can make the play-offs. Whether the current team have the cojones for that though is open to question. 1 Quote

philipl Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 At least the starting XI isn't garbage and it is only the bench we are unhappy with. Quote
USABlue Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Very happy to see JRC start. Up to the lad to take it now. Let's see how long till he can't.live without Bennett. Quote
yeti-dog Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 The best result would be that the starting XI play so well that none of the bench are required. Quote

USABlue Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Sluggish start, mmmm. Yup reflecting our upper echelons ambitions. Could be ugly. Quote
skous18 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) Great chance for Gallagher but he misskicked his shot. Great save from Walton after that p.s. Another good Walton save Edited February 1, 2020 by skous18 Quote
USABlue Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Nyambe had lots of space to attack and did not, wonder why? Quote
skous18 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 (edited) Very enjoyable match for now Downing seems up for it Edited February 1, 2020 by skous18 Quote
Gogger Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 This game is made for a fast winger, Boro leaving so much space. Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Murdering them. Should be 2-0 up Quote

skous18 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Costello down with a nose bleeding after a clash with Boros goalie. Quote

Just saw a lot of blood on his hand. Bandage on his head. Last thing we need is another long term injury, especially for a young lad trying to make his way into the team. Looks like he will play on though. Quote
Pedro Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Both teams look very open at the back. It's bound to be 0 - 0. Quote

Tbh I think the bench is ok - all positions covered and a few older heads to calm it down if we are leading. The only problem really is that Brereton is not the young, promising striker that i would want to throw on if we need a goal... Feels, sadly, like a waste of a seat ? Quote
Pedro Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Nmecha hopefully going off injured soon. He's been giving Lenihan a tough time. Quote
Wegerleswiggle Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 This first half will probably finish at 4.30. Quote
