Bbrovers2288 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Excellent result , from a poor performance against Fulham, an ok one against hull, that’s a very good performance so we have been getting better as the weeks went on, if we beat Brentford I may just start to believe..... 1 Quote

Walton a couple of truly great saves, we need to keep him, he is getting better. And lets face it - we are a better attacking team without Gallagher in the side. Some things are a blessing in disguise. Whenever he gets fit again, he should not be starting, at least not for the rest of the season. Gallagher getting injured is a blessing as if he's fit he plays. 3 Quote

Surely we can't beat Brentford can we?! If we do win there then it'll be the first time this season I'll genuinely believe we can finish in the top 6. 4 Quote

Popular Post Bohinen 22 Posted February 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2020 I have criticised Mowbray. But credit where it is due, he deserves immense praise for his selection and tactics and preparation for today and other recent matches. 3 points off the play offs without our best player and other important players is terrific, particularly with no January investment. Blooding of some youngsters and a settled back four. Massive improvement from our full backs, who now look much more confident. Players playing in their correct positions too. Hats off to Mowbray. 13 Quote

Sounds harsh but its a very valid point IMO. 1 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Samuel has to be ahead of Gallagher! 2 Quote

chaddyrovers Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Great win. Only 3 points to 6th. Another clean sheet. 11 clean sheets this season. We are finding a way to win even without Dack, Graham, Rothwell and Holtby. Mowbray and players deserve huge credit today and the season so far. Tony Mowbray's Blue and White Army 6 Quote

IMO, you are obsess with constantly digging at Gallagher even he not part of the squad Edited February 15, 2020 by chaddyrovers 1 Quote

Him being injured has forced Tony's hand in playing players who are much more suited to that role there. If that means we now get in the play offs then i couldn't give a flying fuck about offending you or anyone else in saying his injury is a blessing. 1 Quote

Anyway, let's not worry about next week and enjoy today's brilliant showing. I'd say that's what he has to do. It's the back 4 and travis/Johnson digging in. Working hard. Keeping it simple that's allowing us to progress forward with confidence. Quote

Boroblue Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 While criticism of individual players for their performance in specific games is valid. The generic criticism of a player seems harsh . We are on 50 points with Gallagher playing the majority of those. Samuel plays one and its better and that is the answer. While it may or not be correct Samuels performance shouldn’t be a stick to beat another player for. Gallagher players in Mowbray selected position for him not to long ago that was Armstrong’s. Maybe sometimes the team is more important than the individual. 3 Quote

callumrovers Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Rothwell, JRC and Gallagher hopefully fit for Brentford. I'd be happy with a point. As much as I want the win, going to Brentford and not getting beaten, has to be the plan. We cannot go gung ho. Quote

Popular Post arbitro Posted February 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2020 Just sat at Euston basking in the glory of a great performance and win. Lots of top performances today but Buckley was terrific for me. Walton not far behind and then probably nine more just behind. Also well done to Mowbray who got his tactics spot on. I have been critical of him many time but in recent games he has got it right. 22 Quote
Inglorious basturk Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 A lot of pleasing things to take from today’s day out . Slightly frustrating to think of the money on the bench that could have been spent on defenders when we had dom 2 Quote
