Owner wasn't a liar then. You have to remember that Hodgson was friends with Eriksson and may not have been pleased about his friend being sued however justifiable. 

That being said Eriksson was a good manager and there's a lot of people who clearly held him in high regard. Nobody deserves a terminal illness but overall he had it pretty good didn't he?
