That to me is a strong back 4! We're not in a position to sign quality players as 'back up'. What we should be doing is bringing some worldies through via the academy..... 4 minutes ago, JacknOry said: Agreed that our first choice defense IF all fit, is good. But there is literally nothing behind it. We have a RB at CB ffs and a RM at RB who has proved alwful there. Besides, we wouldnt have been signing players as backup, our best LB and CB are loans, not ours so will be gone end of the season. A good response. Add in Lenihen is injury prone. Add in centre back is a very specialised position. Add in there are only 2 other actual defenders behind these 4 and you see how neglected the defence is. Factor in Cunningham has been injured for ages and we've been happy to only carry 5 defenders in the squad since then is criminal. Heck even with Cunningham there it leaves 6 defenders only for 4 positions. Contrast that with how many midfield and striker options we have and threadbare is an understatement. And that's before we consider quality. Williams and Bell aren't really good enough. Clear neglect imo. 1 Quote

matt83 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Cunningham, Tosin, lenihan, nyambe would have been a decent back 4 this season. Ifs and buts. The but there is bugger all to come in after it. Bell, Williams, mulgrew, Bennett, plus a few academy teenagers. ?. 1 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 That's a red card if the ref is paying attention. Quote
Miker Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Dreadful first 10 mins. Swansea should be down to 10 men but the ref bottled the decision. Quote

Backroom Tom Posted February 29, 2020 Backroom Posted February 29, 2020 Good ball in by Samuel followed by an idiot push by Gallagher, not even subtle Quote

Gone from an ‘okay squad player’ to one we simply must move on in the summer. Couple of the chasing pack winning today - imperative we follow suit. Edited February 29, 2020 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! Miker Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 This referee has been a joke. How was that not a penalty? Gallagher got hacked down from behind by the Swansea player. Quote
