Wigan Away replacement Match Thread! 

Fresh from a promotion season, our first game of the newly formed Premier League season takes us to London as we face Crystal Palace away.

Didn't go to the game but remember the build up , there was obviously a lot of eyes on us after breaking the transfer record on Alan Shearer but I think the only other new starter was Stuart Ripley that day  , imagine a team now getting promoted to PL via play offs and only buying 2 players !! .The opening game at Palace also brought back some heat breaking memories especially what took place there a few seasons earlier . I listened on the radio , watched highlights on MOTD and thought we should have won , that season Bobby Mimms ended up with most clean sheets of any other GK , so we learnt defensively so much after that Game
