This must be an April Fool's Day prank. No Brad in the top 10. But Dracula David James and Jens Lehman. Are they capable of looking beyond the traditional top 6. How can you complain or criticise their stupidity?

Always the way.

Its like when Damien Duff for Sky did his Best XI (and subs) who he played with and didn’t mention a single Rovers player as even a contender for inclusion.

I'm sure many people have, about various goalkeepers who didn't make the cut.

I think the key is not to take these sort of shows too seriously.

Load of rubbish.

James in there. Longevity and quality are not the same thing. De Gea for all his brilliance was unconvincing at the start and for the last season or so.

But hey, play for a big.club and in you get. There was a few keepers, not least Brad, who should.have been in that list.

Saw a stat today that Friedel and his compatriot Howard have exactly the same number of clean sheets in their PL careers - they’re both tied with Van Der Sar on 132. Just 13 clean sheets separate 11th (Joe Hart) and 4th (David Seaman).

Ludicrous. Brad is easily in the top 3 Prem keepers of all time. I'll only accept Schmiechel and Cech above him.

I can see how others might have other preferences for their top 3, but to not put Friedel in the entire top 10 is simply grossly inaccurate.

Clean sheets are irrelevant for this though because you'd expect players in better teams to keep more clean sheets with less work.

All part of the convenient forgetting of clubs like Rovers. If they could somehow take 94/95 off us they would.

But Venkys have been absolutely fantastic for this club while they have been here.

The Newcastle side that didn’t win the title in 1996 gets far more coverage and sentimental reminiscing in the media than the side that actually won it the year before.

All time best premier league keepers. What a load of bollocks that list is. Classic sports media unless you played predominantly for a big club you’re not even considered. Jaaskelainen better than most of those.

Allison has only played a season or two! How's he included. And ederson for that matter.

Spot on. Brad and Jussi should be near the top. Niemi too maybe. Flowers? Howard?

If taking David James as the benchmark of top 10 all time prem keepers. I think keepers that were better than him omitted from the list are brad, jasskelinen, southall, Schwartzer, Howard, martyn, flowers. Literally off the top of my head. Rovers, Bolton, Boro, even Leeds and Everton aren’t really the clubs they’re interested in considering

Allison and Ederson might ultimately be judged as top all time keepers but I could keep goal for Liverpool and Citeh in a deckchair such is their dominance currently.

Not saying they’re not - just found it interesting how close a good number were, and how the two best American keepers of the PL era ended up on the same number of clean sheets. Completely agree that Brad has been robbed - Alison and Ederson have played about 50 games each FFS.
