Mattyblue
The fact the Dingles still cling on to Trelleborgs even now shows just how much the 90s destroyed their collective souls.

den
I guess this could come under “nostalgia “. Went to the legends night at King Georges hall last week. Tim flowers was recalling the Southampton game at Ewood when Matt Le Tissier scored two pearlers against his old team mate. When they were walking off Le Tiss was giving it large to Flowers about the two goals. Flowers replied (and this got a lot of laughter) “what are you on about? We’ve just beaten you 3-2 ya big nosed twat.” 😀

AllRoverAsia
Extensive FA Cup Final history from British Pathe. After lots of early mentions: 16.14 , our goals in the 1928 win over Huddersfield and the towns celebration. 2.07.40, the 1960 defeat by Wolves. It shows a great Douglas dribble but also the McGrath OG, Whelan's injury and Woods blunder. And a walking Dougan.... It's mainly an English issue with them being completely gash and totally inept.

Though obviously heard his name in connection with the ice hockey. I do know several of the mascots coming up, including a mate who was my usher, who was mascot for the oft forgotten Boxing Day fixture against Leeds United......why don't you remember it? Well perhaps because it was called off due to a waterlogged pitch! The replayed match was the one where Flowers saw red for felling Brian Deane after about 30 seconds. Rovers have often ruined a Christmas (ironically see Leeds away 2018) but that takes some beating, though even the most cynical Rovers fan would surely blame the weather and not the club. He heard voices in his head telling him the keeper had carried the ball out of the area. Then he heard another voice telling to make up for the first fuck up by disallowing the goal. The best one I ever saw was when the ref blew up for time and took all 22 players off at Bolton v Rovers 20 minutes early ! Although the game at Rochdale in the 1970’s was a good one. I was down the end Rovers were attacking but it looked like the Dale scored a perfectly good goal at the other end but somebody pulled the ball out from under the net and threw it back on the pitch. The ref then disallowed the goal. The Dale players went apeshit so the ref sent one of them off ! After a long chat with all concerned he gave the goal and had the player he’d just sent off brought back on ! Anybody else remember that one ?

I thought the ball went through a hole or a gap in the net, which is what the officials are meant to check for pre kick-off.
