Wonderful memories of a time when people in charge at Ewood, really, really cared. We were all so incredibly lucky to have witnessed it all. Edited October 16, 2023 by A Northern Horde... 12 Quote

So grateful he’s now a season ticket holder at Celtic Park… He does still get to 5 or 6 Rovers games every season too tbf 3 Quote
den Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Is there any objection to opening this up to non rovers related nostalgia? Quote

I don’t see why we can’t expand a bit. If mods aren’t happy, then please remove. Here we go. Pitches that yesteryears footballers had to contend with. 1 Quote
den Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Another one. PNE vs Blackpool 1970. Blackpool promoted, North End relegated. Who scored a hat trick for Blackpool in a 3/0 win? Quote

He gave Keith Newton a hard time on more than one occasion. He had this trick were he’d be running at full speed with the ball, then he’d appear to over run the ball. When the defender hesitated he’d bring the ball through with his trailing foot and he’d be gone. I watched him a few times and he fooled me every time with that trick. 1 Quote
