Grimsby v Rovers under Howard Kendall, footage I’ve never seen before and an away shirt I don’t recognise either!

Starts around 2.50mins in.

Nice to hear Howard’s voice again. What about that pitch ! I’ve played on worse but not many though.

‘Screened live in Norway’ (as full of plastic Scousers, Scandì style), so Ewood was all Norwegian advertising… which made a change from Tommy Balls and Matthew Brown 😅

Burnley v Rovers 1989 Lancashire Manx Cup

I used to deliver the Papers to Burnley Keeper Chris Pearce's House...he lived around Ewood!

First derby game i saw, confirmed my hatred for Burnley and their fans,i was 15 and  trying to get back home  safely after the match was nearly as eventful as the match 😀

burnden park was evil

Memories of Rovers fans signing when we arrived via train at Bolton station.

Had to keep your head down coming out the tunnel approaching Darwen on return journey.

Excellent photo available free of charge to the first person who contacts me with their address.

Photo is dated 2nd February 1960 and is of 5 Rovers players - John Bray, Harry Leyland, Matt Woods, Louis Bimpson and Mike McGrath - relaxing at the Washington Hotel, London, on the morning of their FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane (Rovers reached the final that year - the last time we did so).

Never truer words I went to a couple of Bolton v Blackburn Rovers games in the 80s. You were dodging darts being thrown at you waiting at the turnstiles, and building bricks coming over the wall in the open end, the good old days.

I looked up the Fulham home game from 2002 as I needed the date and remembered being at Ewood that day. Just look at that attendance! It actually makes me feel quite sad.

I guess Ewood Park isn't too big for us after all.
