The interviewer is Jim Wilkinson, the player at the end is Allan Evans - then of Leicester City - who played with Price at Villa hence the “old teammate” comment.

I still recall the unfolding horror of that day. The realisation that it was all going terribly wrong & there seemed to be no end in sight. A long drive back home that night with much to ponder.

 even dropped out of the play off race after this😖,we decided to drown our sorrows and got completely annihalated after the final whistle,did`nt even go home and from hazy memories ended up in the moorings pub arguing about going to tranmere on the monday!!!!!!!!!

I remember my well worn 91/92 season review VHS showed an interview with Newell after the game... but no game 🤷‍♂️

Is that the season review with the blue case called "The Rovers Return"? Thats the one i had as a kid, missed quite a lot out that video did, think it was an ITV production.

I stumbled across one years later on ebay that had Garner on the front that was a two parter, and was closer to the highlights we have been getting in this thread.

The first thing that strikes me is the massive following on a Friday night, we have always had great support when doing well.

That draw was a turning point for me, I was distraught after the Leicester game, Palace was fresh in the mind, but it was full steam ahead and we never looked back.  

Great memories.

It certainly is. I used to walk past the ground every day on my way to junior school at St. Barts. The memories come flooding back.
