RoversClitheroe Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Good to see Davenport being used, think he's a really good prospect that always seems to be overlooked. 2 Quote

chaddyrovers Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Rich Sharpe tweet Taking a stab at the starting #Rovers team: Walton, Nyambe, Adarabioyo, Lenihan, Rankin-Costello, Davenport, Travis, Johnson, Holtby, Gallagher, Graham. Quote

Or at least a hairband that works so he can stop the constant hair adjustments during a match and give his attention to what he's paid big bucks to do. 2 Quote
Atko's Engine Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 It seems to me like we did the honourable thing and socially distanced ourselves from the Liverpool players! More seriously, I suspect there's absolutely nothing to read into this result other than getting game time into some rusty legs. Quote
davulsukur Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 6-0, that's a tubbing even for a friendly. Only a friendly but still pretty embarrassing. Suddenly I don't miss football that much anymore. 5 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Rich Sharpe said the Armstrong started instead of Graham. Quote
Waggy76 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Hardly a surprising result one team Prem champions elect , with all to play for the other fulfilling their Championship fixtures with little to play for .... Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Worrying thing probably being that Smallwood played and Buckley didn't. 1 Quote

It's probably been forgotten as it was a while ago but Buckley is suspended for the next three games after his red card at Derby. But playing Smallwood is a strange decision. Maybe he will get a new short term deal. Quote

JPTSwindon Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Sub-optimal result that. Yes only a friendly, but doubt that will have been a confidence builder. As ever why spent so much on a striker, a target man and then play him on the wing? 1 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 If perchance we go up, we’ll see a few score lines like that. Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 You've got to applaud whoever compiled the report on the game for bare faced front. Saying we now need to "fine tune" our preparations in time for the start of the season. What, so we only get beaten 5-0 next time out? That's the sort of thing you'd write if we'd battled our way to a plucky 1-1 drawer something! Quote
Mattyblue Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 (edited) Back of the Times made me laugh. Trent Alexander-Arnold battles for the ball with * “err, anybody have a clue who the other fella is”... “no? Right we’ll leave it out” Edited June 12, 2020 by Mattyblue Quote
1864roverite Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I’ve seen the goals which highlighted some terrible defending Quote
Backroom Tom Posted June 12, 2020 Backroom Posted June 12, 2020 Probably a good thing we got put through the ringer, the goals displayed some shocking defending and goalkeeping! Quote
