WacoRover Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Meanwhile, Rooney scores, Derby up 2-0, so we drop another spot. Gotta get all 3 today to keep pace. Quote

Tugay-is-God Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Looks like that team news leak was pretty bang on, Arma's got to be pretty disappointed to miss out. 1 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Worried about the lack of legs in our midfield. And mystified how the headless horse Gallagher can keep his spot in place of Arma. 2 Quote
Admiral Nelsen Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Bennett left back, Evans not in the squad so Rothwell in midfield. Otherwise, as last week. Arma on the Bench, as is Smallwood Quote

JacknOry Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 TM been reading the boards again, Smallwood on the bench. I know it wont be true but kinda hoping Downing at LB and Bennett playing just about anywhere else...clutching at straws. Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Not liking Rothwell playing. Liability that lad. 2 Quote
philipl Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 So rotating the front three again after 60 minutes... Quote

BlackburnEnd75 Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Ive always thought Rothwell's natural position is on the left a 3 man midfield. Let's see if that's true. 2 Quote
TruRover Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 personally I’m quite happy to see rothwell start, especially if he’s in a midfield 3. In a game like today where Wigan will most likely sit off we might need his creativity and ability to run with the ball. 1 Quote

I wasn't saying it can't be won, I'm saying it's not in the 'really should be winning' category, which the term winnable implies. All games are technically winnable. The form guide was messed with by the break, for sure. And if Wigan had lost their last outing I wouldn't be putting much store in their previous form. But they won with a clean sheet again, and I suspect this restores their state of mind to being in that run of form. Wigan were also unlucky in a lot of games when their form was poorer. It's unlikely to be a walk in the park today. Yeah agree ..I don't think any game will be a walk in the park until maybe the latter fixtures where one of the two teams really has nothing to play for and have no crowd on their backs baying for a bit of effort/performance. Some teams will completely switch off. Somebody in the chasing pack are going to win possibly 6 out of 8 games ..lets hope its us. 1 Quote

AspRover Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 (edited) I think I'd line it up Walton Nyambe Adarabioyo Lenihan Downing Bennett Travis Holtby Rothwell Brereton Gallagher Maybe? I seem to remember Bennett having good games in the centre and Holtby, Rothwell and BB running off Gallagher as a target man could work? Edited June 27, 2020 by AspRover got a name wrong Quote
