Have we signed Marcus Maddison yet. Sorry wrong transfer window , they all just seem to blend into one these days

No he’s got too many holes in his jeans. Need a proper human to fit in with the group before they go on the grass.

That's what i mean about pushing the boat out a bit for someone who's going to be worth it. I think they are terrified of that gamble on the back of the striker signings.

How can you ever build a promotion side with that sort of approach.

Yep. You push the boat out for an Ayala - a guy who is in his prime years and got out of this division before. A ‘man’ that Mowbray says he is looking for. Yet we’ve neither taken a sh!t or got off the pot by the looks. As I say, we’ll end up with another kid on loan at the back (at best) is my bet.

We had the chance to loan one of the best young midfield talents on reduced wages with no obligations on match time and turned him down.

Apparently Garner is off to Huddersfield.

The lack of ambition being shown by the club right now is nothing short of tragic.

It's no surprise at all it's another year of 'transition' whilst we see how the kids do. It's another year of set in stone jusifiable excuses for a middling finish. Another year of value and experience into the squad.

Also another years no pressure wages for everyone, another year of mammoth funding adding to the owners tab and another year of not trying to get out of this league.

Easy street.

Fine with that, we have Buckley. If we are adding another midfielder it shouldn’t be a fancy dan it should be an animal like Morsy.

Who else they got heading out on loan?

Its not panic stations yet the window doesn't close for a few more weeks we will end up with a few panic loans and one permanent addition the club will then blame covid and the difficult circumstances. The usual twitter and facebook suspects will be trotting out the be grateful we could be bury/bolton etc using every excuse to defend the utter mediocrity and lack of ambition that will be served up. Roll on 12 months we can copy and paste it as it will be the same

Whats worse is that Mowbray does not know the difrence between wingers and attackers! Plus Bennett must start some games and come off the bench 90% of the time regardless it it makes sense or if it is in his corect position!

Then you have JRC playing left back as Our 1st choice (god help us) LB was injured!

Then you have Holtby having to hassle Tony to play as a playmaker!

Dont worry folks Tony has plans for the defence this season. Bennett is working hard in training at converting to a Centre back and left back! #tonylogic

Bennet has already played LB so he's way ahead of you.

Ultimate utility player - he's shit in all positions.

You don't want a quality midfielder?

I must be looking at a different Rovers squad.

It would've served us better if we'd been dicked at Leicester.

Mowbray will be using Magloire's shutting down of Vardy as reason not to bring anyone in.

An attacking midfielder is last, on a very long list of squad needs for me.

More a case of settling in young impressive players to prove their talent and sell them to bring in loans and free's.

Buckley and Garner are nothing alike. Frankly a bizarre comparison.

I get the training up our own talent argument. But we don't have anything of the talent of Garner.

Assuming we are getting his wages off the books, could leave some more wiggle room for Ayala?

Although as we've shifted Graham, Smallwood, Samuel off the books, we should have had enough room anyway, i guess.

Isn't Garner a deeper midfielder? He can also play in defence.

Hopefully, nothing. Meet Fleetwood's new Footballing consultant on getting out of League 1.

We will be covering a substantial chunk of his wages so Fleetwood can meet FFP regulations.

We need a quality centre half and a quality full back more.  No point bringing in a new centre mid to take Buckley's place on the bench.

Are we loaning Mulgrew out?

Yes, and I imagine we will be subsidising 80-90% of his wage. Realistically Fleetwood are not going to be able to afford much more than 10-20% of Mulgrew's current wage and thanks to TM he's in a position where he has no reason to drop his demands until next year.
