There's been a lot of criticism in these hundreds of pages so only right credit is given as well. To be fair, people have been correct to be critical and skeptical based on what has gone on defensively to date. Everything regarding the signing of Ayala has been positive and it has been full of praise. 3 Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Welcome Daniel and fair play Tony, two decent signings so far. Cunningham in and our first 11 should be pushing top 6. 1 Quote

Some, however, go well beyond this and no longer give the club a chance. I'm pretty sure comments along those I said have been made. Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted September 15, 2020 Backroom Posted September 15, 2020 Have to say I think this is as good a signing as when we signed Craig Short, and possibly more important. 2 Quote
Displaced Rover Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Genuinely really happy with that signing. Get a good left back in and we could be in for an exciting season*. *Until the inevitable injury crisis highlights the massive lack of depth ha ha Quote
DeeCee Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 (edited) Sooo glad it didn't get to 500 pages! Excellent bit of business. COYB ? Edited September 15, 2020 by DeeCee Quote
Ricky Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Get the left back sorted and it will look like a decent window. 1 Quote

bringdunnback Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 (edited) Delighted with this signing. We absolutely need another CB though. Currently we have Lenihan, Ayala, Williams and then Wharton/Magloire. Those three senior centre backs, I fear, won't complete full seasons. They're all injury prone. Despite his Leicester/Bournemouth performances, I'd still move Williams on and try and get another CB who hasn't got a poor injury record. That said, beggars can't be choosers. Especially as it seems WIlliams might be off. Kinda hope we keep him but only in a backup capacity as he can fill two roles (albeit not very well lol) Plus, he has some mighty pearly whites going on there. bringdunnback Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Yeah, ideally we keep Williams and bring another CB in but suppose budgets will have the final say. Quote
blue_n_white99 Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Welcome Senor Ayala, delighted you have joined COYB Quote
Dreyski Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Took long enough but happy with that. Now for the LB! ? Quote

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Great signing Ayala. Sign a good left back. Tosin back on on loan and a midfielder and it would be dream window. Quote
LDRover Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Now that is a good piece of transfer news, I'd say he's the nasty, cynical bugger we've been crying out for. Credit to Mowbray on this one, let's hope he gets him in the side straight away with none of this 'bedding in'. Quote

tomphil Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 (edited) Good effort and not before time so any moaning at both manager and owners has been fully justified. Bowyers era got Duffy in and even Coyles reign saw Mulgrew signed so it's about time Mowbray & Swaggo delivered a decent defender so no need for squabbling, point scoring or i told you so's. Let's all get behind him and hope it was worth the wait. Edited September 15, 2020 by tomphil 3 Quote
