SBlue Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Really good team performance and a well fought out win. I’m still inclined to blame Walton for the lob, mind. 4 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Well I didn’t see that coming, particularly at half time. Brilliant result but makes the Wigan and Barnsley results even more frustrating. Mowbray pulls off another win just as the virtual pressure begins to crank up a notch. 3 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Pitchforks away lads, that was a Mowbray masterclass. 2 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Typical Rovers under Mowbray. Play yourselves out of contention then just pull out a result when it's too late to make the overall picture look half way respectable. 7 Quote
tomphil Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Great effort tonight well done the boys. Where the hell was that the last 3 games ? Every time this manager comes under stick from fans he goes more sensible tactics wise and more aggressive. Team fights all the way. Somewhat of dead rubber time again though so we've seen it all before but a much needed win and we'll take it. Yet again a better more balanced performance with Bennett and Gallagher OUT. 1 Quote

Thoughts were we would have just cemented our play off place if we hadn't just lost 3 games. Travis MOM today. JRC, Tosin Graham, Downing, Johnson (second half) also very good 1 Quote
WacoRover Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 I’m just glad to celebrate a win. Wonderful win by Rovers. Quote

Agree with Tom above, as a minimum Walton, Johnson and Gallagher should be dropped - in fact, IMO, loanee, calamity Walton should not start another game for Rovers. Can any of the development / U23 players do any worse than those three? Can see absolutely nothing other than a Cardiff win. So confident of this, I've put all my my £130 winnings for betting against Rovers last week on a Cardff win at just a little better than evens. For those who say you shouldn't bet against Rovers then I would say why not? If we are so poor and it's easy money then you would be silly not to. To be honest, if it would result in Mowbray's departure, I would take a hiding and defeat in each of our last five matches. Hahahahahaha cheers Merce! Get in there you bluesssssss 6 Quote
philipl Posted July 7, 2020 Author Posted July 7, 2020 Excellent performance. Means more hope- I cannot cope! Quote

About a second later they got a free kick for a similar level of foul. Now if you're not giving the first at least let the second go. Then two players shove Travis in the chest over it right in front of the ref and no cards. Decisions didn't screw us today, but it was still the usual amateur hour officiating. Quote

Changes nothing really because as always it gives false hope Yup, just like Bowyer he shits the bed when we're in spitting distance of the playoffs but finishes strongly to paper over the cracks. Displaced Rover Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 This just reaffirms my belief he doesn't actually want us to get promoted....He just keeps us on the cusp so he can claim he's doing a decent job... 5 Quote
Popular Post Hasta Posted July 7, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 7, 2020 (edited) Well. Well. Danny Graham and Adam Armstrong > Brereton and Gallagher. Who'd have thought it? Graham has been criminally written off and underused this season. Edited July 7, 2020 by Hasta 13 Quote
davulsukur Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 A few cardiff fans on twitter saying we are a dirty team and Trav should have been Red Carded ?♂️ Quote
Ossydave Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Why are we like this? Probably win all our remaining games now and miss the play offs by 3 points due to the last few shocking performances against bog standard teams ? Quote
bazza Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 A very good performance by all players. Samuel got going after some awful mistakes and misses. Tonight he showed us he can be a better player than we think. Walton is bloody awful. Get rid. Johnson got better as the game went on. Armstrong is sublime. Why oh why does Nyambe not cross the ball now and again? Still showing signs of no confidence going forward. But I'm grinning like a Cheshire Cat. 1 Quote
