3-1 now but one thing this does (assuming Bournemouth don’t drag it all back), is ensure that Rovers have the best goal difference in the league by some distance. Amazing when you consider we’ve lost 5 games!

Such a crazy division, PNE have been utterly hapless recently and are winning at Bournemouth.

Also barnsley winning at Brum, I don't think we appreciate what a good result it was at the weekend because it was only 'lowly' Barsnley

Looks like Preston missed the memo about Bournemouth being too good and spending loads of money.

To say they were awful against us they have won the same number of games. I don't know what that says. Is it the division or is it us?

I know it's easy to say now but I think we gave Bournemouth too much respect when we played them.

We were really good that day but outdone but some quality goals.

Yes and we all thought a 3-2 defeat wasn't too bad, but that was then, first game up. We know better now. They're not that great if the can get beat by Preston.

I will ask this question.

Name one fixture between now and the end of the season we can be pretty certain to lose.

There's nobody out there that I'm expecting us to lose to Phillip. Obviously that's not to say we won't. You've been watching Rovers long enough. We can beat anybody and lose to anybody in this league.

Punishing the lower clubs is fine but we need to beat the likes of B'mouth, Norwich, Brentford, etc to show we are serious contenders.

Bauer out for the season. Rafferty played for them - thought he was suspended

Rafferty was banned at the weekend when they had no full backs at all but back today. No sooner is Davies back at CB and now Bauer is out for the season.

The luxury of a fully fit squad will evade all teams this season.

As others have said 1) the Barnsley result shows how good it was to get 3 points Vs them. 2) Preston winning shows how crazy this league is.

Kicker for Preston to lose Bauer. It really is a squad game this season. Wonder if that's why the 3 relegated teams are doing fairly well - not perhaps amazing teams (although I do think Watford have a very good first 11) but stronger squads. Having some quality beyond the first 11 seems much more important this season then ever before.

Cardiff have also got into gear the last couple of games, which may also be worth keeping an eye on.

Derby continue to not be very good.

Preston 3-0. Football defies logic sometimes

Although, Preston's away form has been sound, its their home form that sees them struggling.

More than sound, it's the best in the division - 5 wins and a draw out of 8 games. They would be in the relegation zone with their home form.
