Doesn't really put him in a good light, he just got pissed constantly throughout his career, first 2 weeks at Rovers just spent on the lash and an interesting story with him and Alex marrow in Manchester too. Talk about coyle and you can see from that alone why he was so crap as a manager. He comes across as a cocky gobshyte to me. A good footballer but not a professional one in a million years. 6 Quote

Backroom Silas Posted December 18, 2020 Backroom Posted December 18, 2020 Bristol City now scored one goal in 450 mins of football. We really are the gift that keeps on giving. And how the hell are they still 2pts ahead of us. 2 Quote

roversfan99 Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 If he wasnt enjoying it and he is happier playing at a low level with his mates, seemingly on the back of shrewdness investing in properties as touched upon, fair play to him. Quote

Sparks Rover Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) If he was "on the lash" for 2 years, you can bet it probably wasn't just alcohol(IMO). You can't get back from that unless you have real drive. He doesn't. Edited December 19, 2020 by Sparks Rover 1 Quote

A win there would have made a huge difference for is in the table. It's results like that which are just as costly as not beating the better teams. davulsukur Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Watford have binned their manager. Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Blimey. I know they're a tombola but at some point they'll have gone through any feasible manager and hit your Owen Coyle/Phil Brown types. I'll have to look at the odds to see who the bookies favour. Quote

davulsukur Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 (edited) His only managerial experience is being the manager of Dinamo Tbilisi from the Georgian league. Looks like he only joined them as manager earlier this year as well. So not an experienced manager by any stretch. Edit: Turns out he was only in charge of his last (and only job) for 11 games. This appointment has not gone down well on the Watford twitter post about his arrival. Edited December 20, 2020 by davulsukur 2 Quote

This appointment has not gone down well on the Watford twitter post about his arrival. They do make some odd choices. Personally i think they should have stuck with Pearson. Had them above the relegation zone, and even if they went down he definitely had changed the mood. Would have got them bouncing straight back up. Good managers are key in this league and this seems like a heck of a gamble. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) Read a stat that said Watford have had more managers since Pozzo bought the club than Arsenal have had in their entire history. Edited December 21, 2020 by Mattyblue Quote

We aren't going to be troubling the play offs unless something radical changes. We'll be competing with Luton, Barnsley and Huddersfield to see if we can get a top half finish. 2 Quote
