Didn't know where to put this but Ben Marshall has done an under the cosh podcast, you can skip to the Rovers part.

Doesn't really put him in a good light, he just got pissed constantly throughout his career, first 2 weeks at Rovers just spent on the lash and an interesting story with him and Alex marrow in Manchester too.

Talk about coyle and you can see from that alone why he was so crap as a manager.

He comes across as a cocky gobshyte to me. A good footballer but not a professional one in a million years.

Probably explains where he currently is in the footballing Pyramid right now!

I must admit I hadn't realised he was playing in the West Lancs League (and not even the top division of it either!)

Bristol City now scored one goal in 450 mins of football.

We really are the gift that keeps on giving.

And how the hell are they still 2pts ahead of us.

True.

Could jump above them and Stoke.

But we all know what affect the air up there has on our noses.

He's only 29, he should still be playing Championship football al least.

Some lads don't deserve the talent they're given. What a stupid waste

He's not the first to mess up a good footballing career and he won't be the last.

We are all human after all. "There but for the grace of God go I". and all that.

If he was "on the lash" for 2 years, you can bet it probably wasn't just alcohol(IMO). You can't get back from that unless you have real drive. He doesn't.

Yeah just saw they lost to Preston.

How we lost to them is a mystery and a huge mistake. A win there would have made a huge difference for is in the table. It's results like that which are just as costly as not beating the better teams.

(Although they are technically about us, although echo the questions as to how.)

His only managerial experience is being the manager of Dinamo Tbilisi from the Georgian league.

Looks like he only joined them as manager earlier this year as well. So not an experienced manager by any stretch.

Edit: Turns out he was only in charge of his last (and only job) for 11 games.

This appointment has not gone down well on the Watford twitter post about his arrival.

They do make some odd choices.

Personally i think they should have stuck with Pearson. Had them above the relegation zone, and even if they went down he definitely had changed the mood. Would have got them bouncing straight back up.

Good managers are key in this league and this seems like a heck of a gamble.

Read a stat that said Watford have had more managers since Pozzo bought the club than Arsenal have had in their entire history.

Looking upwards, yesterday was a horrible day to be dropping two points.

Time to forget looking upwards. We aren't going to be troubling the play offs unless something radical changes. We'll be competing with Luton, Barnsley and Huddersfield to see if we can get a top half finish.
