I thought Reading looked a very good side, dominated the game but it just wasn't their day they could have stayed there all night and wouldn't have scored. I've been very impressed with Reading and their manager whenever I have seen them this season.

Ive only seen them a couple of times.

The Reading manager has done a good job so far.

Could potentially go 7th with a win on Saturday. Season long from over

Could, would, should. That's how it has been for 3 years yet we've never actually done it or stayed there for any time.

It's not over yet this manager has repeatedly shown he can't do it so unless something radical changes in the next few weeks there's no point getting worked up about it. I predict 4-5 points from the next 3 to keep us ticking over but not making serious headway and then 3-4 defeats through February to take us away again.

What a great mental position to be in!

You predict outwardly that we’ll be nowhere near come the end of February then you’ll be heralded as a prophet but secretly like the rest of us you’ll be as pleased as punch if we do go on a bit of a run. Absolute win win scenario!

There is always next time, we have to keep going and dare I say, keep are heads and eyes up. There was always a chance the return of Travis and Dack would propel us so let’s play that out before completely given up. It’s a weird league.

Warnock's Middlesbrough lose 0-3 at home to Rotherham.

Rotherham much the better side from the highlights I've seen. Much deserved win.

Sheffield Wednesday and Wycombe are adrift now. Wednesday need a manager if they are going survive now

Raya at fault for Swansea equaliser.

Looks like an under 16’s keeper going for a cross.

No chance of hacking it in the Premier League.

Very poor keeper again.

Tried to punch and miss it completely

Rotherham looked a decent side at Ewood and were in total control of the game until their manager made a couple of bad subs that let us back into the game.

Warne has done a good job there at Rotherham.

Boro has said Bolaise today on loan from Everton

Preston's transfer business is interesting, with quite a few windows with very little recruitment, things do seem to have gone a bit stale there, plenty of criticism for the manager and quite a few players destined to leave at the expiry of their contracts or seemingly for quite a few, much more imminently. Plenty of incomings in too.

They have signed Iversen who was briefly linked with us in the summer on loan to cover for the injured Rudd. Fisher is about to join Boro, they have been playing Browne at right back now he has signed a new deal. Ben Davies is their best defender but seems like he is joining Celtic in the summer, Bauer has a serious injury and they have conceded lots of goals and have been linked with Van Den Berg on loan from Liverpool. And Cunningham again on a loan has re-signed, fitness permitting he looks a very good signing especially as he can sign permanently when his contract expires in the summer.

In midfield, Ben Pearson is about to join Bournemouth and Daniel Johnson has 6 months on his deal so uncertainty there. Whiteman looks a very good addition from Doncaster, a player obviously mentioned on here on a daily basis, he looked good in his first 2 games. They also signed Molumby again on a loan as well as a bizarre signing of Ched Evans.

The issues affecting Preston are similar to those here - a substantial number of their first team players out of contract soon - and they are taking steps to address part of that now.

We can only hope that a decent portion of our out of contract players sign up to new deals because without we are going to have to do a hell of a lot of work in the summer and it will cost a lot of money to do it.

Agree with that, looks at home in the championship.   Expect him to play every game for the nobbers and eventually will improve enough to make a further step up...should have snapped him up for a relatively cheap price really, probably end up a £10m midfielder.🙄

If he'd have been bought by the Rovers, He'd have ended up a £10 full-back.

How have Reading gone from relegation battlers to automatic promotion contenders in a matter of a few months during Covid, a short summer and without substantial spending?

Answers on a postcard for Mowbray to be delivered next time he starts bleating about budgets or slow builds.
